. I sometimes wonder why we still mine for gold in this day and age … especially when transactions pass through space and are just digital numbers .. your credit , my credit , the governments debt . Nothing is actually real . Bricks and mortar if you are lucky enough to own your own housekeeper real but if the demand slows even that gets pulled down …. So it’s never what people think it’s worth . Yet we borrow hugely against this and other supposed assets .
Is gold really an asset ? Maybe gold could restart a depleted world if global banking collapses .
