Stab in the dark LB but we are exiting MSCI Small cap and reverting to Micro Cap by end of May. No idea and not sure if it works the same way but could be the equivalent to Bed and Isa.
If not, the way they are landing IMO points to worked sells by the MM's using PI buys to hold price up so passive funds can exit. Don't think it will be a big player as would have thought we would have seen a un explained rise in SP for them to sell up.
GLA - anyone's guess!
3 trades around 16:00 again - same pattern as previous days

Hi Tygra,
Personally think the annual report will give more information than the AGM however they may give an update or better still a offer. Last years annual report had a few nuggets in it and then there is always the AGM questions which gave some insight last year

Hi Tilly and all, 6m shorts closed yesterday when only 6m traded. Found a post from a while back and must be what is going on IMO
This may be a reason for increases- not at all sure as some of it way over my head. Synthetic longs! Warning best not read without brain engaged. May also be the reason we do not see them open on exchange.
‘There have also been suggestions that stock lending data is less useful or less relevant due to synthetic activity surrounding a stock. You can create similar economic effects using derivatives or “synthetic” structures without ever owning the underlying security – options and futures being obvious examples. However, remember that almost all meaningful synthetic positions will be hedged by the underlying issuer. For example, if a significantly large put option is created, the issuer will likely hedge that position by borrowing and shorting the stock. ORTEX stock lending and short interest data therefore also include data related to synthetic positions.‘
https://public.ortex.com/the-naked-truth/
Link to synthetic positions - synthetic longs being my thoughts but may be completely off the mark but increases don’t add up.
https://corporatefinanceinstitute.com/resources/knowledge/trading-investing/synthetic-position/
Options traders prefer synthetic positions because they are flexible and cost-friendly. For starters, synthetic positions can be used to swap positions when expectations change without necessitating the closure of the existing ones.
Secondly, once a synthetic position is already occupied, it is possible to shift expectations.
Thirdly, the flexibility of synthetic positions means that there is no need to make frequent transactions. In such a way, an existing position can be transformed into synthetic form, as expectations can change any time.
Equally, if a synthetic position is already held and there is a need to benefit from existing market conditions, an individual can simply make adjustments without the need to make a total change.

Nornickel Says No Material Impact on Palladium, Nickel Sales From Sanctions
Russian mining company MMC Norilsk Nickel PJSC said there was no material impact on its sales of palladium and nickel and maintained its production guidance for 2022, despite the war in Ukraine heavily affecting platinum group metals and commodity markets more broadly.

Gateway Industries was by all measures an insignificant website design firm. Trading for just a penny per share, its sole employee, CEO Jack Howard, wasn't considered particularly talented.
Then, on Feb. 8, 2011, a black swan event occurred when famed media entrepreneur Robert F.X. Sillerman announced he would be acquiring Gateway, going into effect on Feb. 11, 2001.4 Based solely on Sillerman's reputation, Gateway's stock immediately spiked over 20,000% to $2.97 per share.

Hi Ian, reached out to some old friends in your neck of the woods. They suggested it and agree with Pompey that it looks good.
No idea personally but like the Cuban twist, albeit there may not be much of a twist with a fry up but who knows.
