Roundtable Discussion; The Future of Mineral Sands. Watch the video here.
Showing at 4.5p and resistance at 6p. Expecting a bounce-around until news. MMers doing their thing.
Fair enough Tiger. Everyone researches companies they invest in and I think it's a little harsh to judge LJ based on his 'ego'. I also think it's important to understand that company's are people led organisations and not simply machines to pump out return for shareholders immediately. LJs work with the unions demonstrates that a lot more is going into this than simply Tantalum output and immediate returns. Operations are being done in a controlled manner so that the employees/management/investors can have a stake in what is, too be frank, a mine producing world-class tantalum albeit at low quantity but with solid quality. I have no problems with this being a slow burner and I expect the mine to be self-sufficient in the near-future. The only fundraising I am expecting is if new mines/investments are identified. I am fairly confident that all holders will get a pleasant surprise once financials are released in December and I am personally looking forward to the announcement.
An interesting insight tiger. I think its important to listen to a lot of perspectives, not just those of fellow holders that are likely to reinforce other holders inside their 'safe-space' of views. One thing I am quite curious, though, is you mention loss-making operations. I am quite curious what makes you think that the plant is still loss-making after the new investment and infrastructure updates? Also with 1 buyer onboard and a potential 2nd sniffing around, don't you think thats a good sign of things to come? Furthermore, why would Larry join if he believes the company will fail? I think with his experience he isn't short of offers. Thanks!
Very interesting. Do you think the mine is now self-sufficient or we will expect future fundraisers? Quite naive question i know...
Potentially dropping on lack of news? Noticed that the last two operational updates were in September/October so hopefully we might get a mine update soonish, however worried this might not been a case as before September the last update was in June so we might not see another until January perhaps, especially with financials being due in end of Dec. Bit worried, therefore, that we might see more SP slide until then. Thoughts?
Must admit it is definitely a punt. I am confident it will pay-off but that's just a personal opinion. I am a little bit concerned by the vagueness of operational updates we have received in the past but the future looks promising given the optimism in press videos and RNS's, Also having bought in at 4.9, its a risk I think worth taking given that figures are due by end of December.
Yes should be. However I think our next announcement will be financials in December. Remember to leave cookies and milk out in case he visits! By 'he' I mean Larry.
No director deals showing buys from Larry so I assume not yet. However I did notice that Giles bought in at 6p in July.
Yes I agree - Larry looks like he has his head screwed on and this could be a multibagger from a shareholder perspective, provided you got in on this dip. One thing I noticed though was a 37.5% taxation on profits... Bit high? Also is there a time period when we can start seeing some solid production rate figures and financials from the mine? Just trying to think about when we might see some value being reflected in the SP...
Got my holding at 4.9 a couple of weeks ago. Honestly, I couldn't see that and also you have to consider that even if this was the case, Tesla would be incredibly demanding. Most likely if it's a new buyer I could see it being in South Africa IMHO
Bought 2.6k worth thats not showing for some reason. First time in this share and the SP it seems doesn't reflect true value. A little worried price may keep plummiting but that's what the AIM casino is all about... Quite happy with my access point.
into 15 now! looking forward to a good year
RYA looks a very good investment for the mid-term... Good hedge against my oil stocks anyway...
But when is the new ordered fleet expected to enter service?
It looked a very promising company and Woollett must be devastated. Glad to see both Spindok and Christking got out of this before the drop. Managed to make a couple hundred off the bounce a couple of months ago. There seems to be a significant issue in their financial plan if they couldnt factor in bearish zinc prices. I think most oil companies are still managing to make something even with the bearish oil prices... ZOX is indeed toast it seems
