Hi agora - yes I did rural not urban support for Zanu-PF.

To say the Croc is no angel is an understatement but he looks to be better for the economy than Mugabe was.

The shootings are dreadful and I am sure could be avoided, let's hope today is more peaceful.

I am not sure about the Chinese - they are not as popular as they once were after ripping the ZimGov off over various business deals (inc. Marange) anyway let's see the only way is up for Zim surely!

I agree there will be a few days of protests and then it will all settle down - VAST is heavily discounted due to the jurisdictions it operates in but both Zim and Rom are making huge strides to boost mining and their respective economies.

The protests will not affect production at PP or the preparation of Eureka for mining next year, the protests seem to be based mainly in Harare a stronghold of the MDC - the urban communities support Zanu-PF.

What has gone on yesterday with protestors being shot is terrible, but if you look at the history of the Marange diamond fields which VAST has claims on many more lost their lives due to the greed and corruption of elements of Mugabe's regime.

Hopefully VAST will contribute to the Zim economy further with the investment and employment we can offer and carry on being a positive force for the country.

Dead right 2P it will take another few months will see a massive increase in value and it will keep coming for a few years with what AP has lined up..

I agree stringer there is -ve sentiment still around VAST due to the death spirals of 2016 and the lack of BP licence - that should be buried finally after the licence is granted.

Look at it logically - why would anyone want to short VAST now?
With a potential multibag at any time you would be insane to do so.
The MM's want to keep the s/p low and under control I agree but no one is shorting VAST, there are so many more easier targets, with much less risk.

No they don't watcher - they may be part of a corporate entity/broker that does, but MM's don't do placings.
As I said the company has to be complicit for that sort of operation to work and AP is far too shrude to allow it with VAST, he was a commodities trader at one time in his career and he understands markets.

watcher - MM's do not do placings, (it is a broker) if they screw up they pay the price, no way they could force a placing on a company unless the company is complicit and there is no chance VAST/AP would do that, I doubt anyone would get away with that now, though I agree the FCA is a complete waste of time.

AP did say he thought VAST was undervalued and we can all agree on that but market fixing - I don't think so.
Why would anyone bother with an AIM minnow?
For me it's a mixture of the history of the company and sentiment - we will soon be where we should be (at several pence) - you cannot hold good fundamentals down - the assets will be reflected in the s/p soon IMO

Presumptuous? - AP has hardly been that - he could only release any info re. the licence with the consent of the Romanian Minister of the Economy as he has stated. It is just the way the Romanian government works IMO slowly!

Bat AP spends much time at the ministry, I think they would have told him, or he would have at least asked :-)

The fact the minister has agreed the agreement with Baita SA also significant - how could he if it was against the current law?

Bat I do not think the new Law effects the licence association, after all it is just an association of an existing exploitation licence. If it had been dependent on a change in the law surely that would have been made clear?

I think we prefer the Croc (but makes no odds as you say) maybe slightly longer with Nelson Chamisa - they both want to move the economy up and get mining the diamonds.

Dodge IMO we will get the BPPM sub licence in the next couple of weeks, I cannot see it going into September, (but you can never say never with this process).

ANRM is the final stage just box ticking, the minister is the one who decides whether this goes ahead or not and he has agreed.

From the June 22 RNS AP comments:

"Following this agreement from the Minister matters now lie with Baita SA and AFCR to make the application for the final seal of approval from ANRM and I am confident that this last item should be dealt with quickly and without issue. The importance of Vast receiving the right to mine at Baita Plai cannot be overstated - simply put, this will allow us to begin mining a 1.8Mt orebody with a copper equivalent grade of approximately 6%, which would transform our production profile."

Dead right 2P - a delay of 9 months due to RomGov admin is relatively minor compared with a dilution of 400% in the same timescale in 2016.
LTH still hold though - we know the potential and the world class assets VAST holds.
That is why I keep saying patience is required with VAST I am very confident it is all coming together - another week or so is nothing if you have held a few years.
