Fantasy you need to do some research on placings

Fantasy - this is how placings work in any AIM company - SVS clients do not know anymore than anyone else.

However it was clear to many that a placing may occur after the RNS of 2 weeks last Monday and with no comment from the company about not doing one as the s/p drifted yesterday.

This is getting a bit silly now - anyone who is a client of SVS Securities (who are VAST's broker) would have been offered the placing shares and not at "mates rates", but at the RSP at the time.

There were however many opportunities yesterday and today to buy shares below the s/p after the placing, which many clearly took - you could have bought today at .53p for instance.

angus this just happens on AIM all the time - for obvious reasons.
AP is cost cutting, cost cutting means you spend less not get more cash! - this placing was to fund new excavators to make more profits in the future and do DD on future acquisitions.
Dilution was only 4.6%, the way it was announced was not great but hey ho that was not AP IMO he is one member of the BoD.
Anyway another obstacle out of the way.

Very small placing out of the way - great news onwards and upwards!

I doubt a placing at a premium, but I think you underestimate what value the BPPM licence association will add to the VAST MC.
Also sentiment wise the BP licence is all consuming and none of the other achievements by the company have been taken into the MC/SP.
Eureka/Zagra/BOD JV/Mercuria deal etc.
They will be once the licence is confirmed

OK the BPPM mine is worth say a NPV of $80 mil operating - now its priced in at say £5mil - with licence $40 mil? adds at least £30 mils to current MC of £28 mil = £58 mil = >1p

You cannot forward sell placing shs before a placing has been RNS'd - that is insider trading and is a prisonable offence! - I believe some posters on another site claimed to have them but they are lying - the stuff on tha BB is unregulated and total ****

It is obvious a placing may happen that is the only reason the s/p has dipped this week IMO - until it is cleared up one way or the other, or we get some good news, the s/p will drift.

Pepco AP hasn't lied, he has stated what he hoped would happen under certain conditions - the licence is going to be 6.5 months late - not his dates a governments!

He has been CEO under 6 months and hopefully has learned the art of not promising stuff that may not be deliverable as he is not in control of it?

IMO he lets his enthusiasm run a bit, but he is great at PR and obviously very ambitious for VAST - let's see what happens over the coming 6 months - I feel we will be in a better position to judge AP at the end of the year

Maybe Dodge - you could be correct but we are where we are - unless he comes out and says no placing very soon then the s/p will suffer more.
We will know one way or the other tomorrow IMO, it dropped today and no podcasts yet about the licence news? - saving it for after?
I am a cynical old AIM investor :-)

PS - I only hold VAST shs because I still believe it is a fantastic investment and if the company need the money from a placing then they need it for the benefit of us "the shareholders"

Dodge - they obviously need the cash now or would not have announced the GM and headroom - that is holding back VAST's s/p until the placing done - I thought it was a poor timing, but there is corporate responsibility, and ramping up an s/p to place into isn't something they or there nomad thought was ethical maybe?

Anyway as I mentioned I have seen this many times on AIM and IMO we are getting a placing - I hope I am wrong but in the big scheme of things and 4 years in VAST for me, I am resigned to it - the s/p should rise once/if it's done and all this will disappear into history just like the two worst death spirals on AIM that the LTH like me have endured!

It's not my job to defend AP - he needs to learn when to shut up - he is too honest and too ambitious in his timelines, however at least he does stuff and is very active in acquisitions getting us finance, modernising the company and actually doing stuff!.
If you want to get upset over a potential small placing so be it - I don't like dilution either, but your making a load of fuss over nothing IMO
If you invest in AIM shs it comes with the territory unfortunately!

I wasn't comparing RP to AP - I was comparing 7% to 350% and you being upset about 7% I care about principles, AP honestly did not want any dilution for day to day expenses but hey ho we need some cash.
I used to own well over 1.25% of this company - and now own a fraction of that down to dilution - I do not care about 7% after being screwed for 350%!!!

Fantasy - VAST, is an AIM junior, circumstances change every week it is impossible to plan for events or opportunities you may be offered or become available.

Look guys this happens on AIM in every company, at least our BoD is honest and not lifestyle. AP wants to build us into a huge company. After the 4 years I have endured in VAST, IF they place it will be peanuts dilution - RP diluted us by 350% in 9 months we are talking about 7% to get huge revenues in 6 months - get a grip!

Jeffa I agree I would have done it differently and announced it post licence - but maybe they didn't know when they're getting it?

Fantasy - you cannot budget for 6 months delays when you have been told a specific timeline which ended in December!
Otherwise you would be placing every 3 months "just in case".
Also AP/BoD did not have the opportunities in December they have now - maybe AP living at the ministry for 6 months helps getting to know them and will give us some advantages when Remin comes up

Fantasy - chill the s/p will rocket when the placing is out of the way, what are the BoD supposed to do?
They budgeted for the BP licence to come last December as per the RomGov timeline - it's nearly July - there were costs not budgeted for and also AP needs cash to acquire assets, and lease the excavators.
