Echo IMO you have to accumulate when you can, BOD is illiquid, but when it goes up it does so very quickly, the current MC is stupidly low diamonds will be back in vogue in a few months and BOD is the main explorer in Africa right now with some world class assets - over the next few years BOD will be worth multiples of .7p - I'm buying as much as I can for a years hold and see where we are - my bet 5p+
I stand corrected Perroverde - $300k for an almost Jorced up diamond mine and $2mil of processing plant! - I thought it was too good to be true, but it wasn't on second reading! $300k you can't get a decent supercar for that and BOD got a diamond mine :-)
From today's RNS "There is a historic SAMREC compliant Indicated Resource of 17.9 million tonnes at 35 cpht, and an Inferred Resource of 6.7 million tonnes at 36 cpht, estimated for the pipe by Z-Star in 2016.""Modelling these grade estimates suggests overall grades of between 57 cpht and 76 cpht. The estimated diamond value from the LDD is $65/ct, with an upside range of between $97/ct and $107/ct".
Taking the lowest of the "overall grades" 57 cpht value $65 thats $3,705 per hundred tonnes or $37 per tonne. Total indicated resource is 17.9 million tonnes - diamond value $662 million - we don't know production costs and it needs JORC, but this is a significant asset for the future outlay of $450k , plus 5% royalty.
As an added bonus there is a full bulk sampling processing plant worth $2mil in the middle of the Kalahari right next to BOD's other assets in the vicinity - talk about synergy!
I am not sure why this has not been reflected in the s/p, but this is a fantastic asset and James and the BOD BoD, have pulled off another great deal.
A MC of £4.7 mil is stupidly low when you consider the assets BOD have in their portfolio - at some point BOD will multibag.
I have just read the placing RNS - looks a good buy to me £2.4 mil in the bank, looking to increase production and reduce costs - there was a loss last year, but I think this year should be profitable with the diamond sales they have had and the increased production after the Covid lockdown.
PLUS "Recently recovered several stones above 6 carats including a 12.3 and a 8.9 carat stone" - Worth a few bob!
I bought some this morning around the placing price, I expect this to bag in the next few months.
Fantasy, I try to explain to you how an AIM company works, I do my best - the rest is up to you, if you cannot discuss VAST rationally without petty insults then that is your loss, better buy back my son - I would hate you to miss out yet again!
If those people criticising the company paying interest in shares had a clue about it you would realise it is cheaper to do this than pay with cash from a placing - placings are expensive as you have costs involved, issuing shs is less so, especially as the s/p is now higher then the placing price!
buko - we can go back over the history and it would take days to explain, AIM is a learning experience if you are to make money, stats say most do not. It would take a biblical post to explain why we are where we are and it's not all AP's fault, like us all he has many strengths and some weaknesses - lets just focus on the present and the potential - IMO it's good from this s/p. This is not aimed at anyone in particular, however I cannot understand the constant -ve posting from the same individuals, if you made a bad investment why not move on, I have made many bad ones, I don't hang around to dis the BOD and the positive posters.
IMO VAST will bag+ from here in the next 8 weeks.
Fantasy, I am mainly positive about VAST whereas you go positive and negative depending on your position - you have clearly sold and are deramping to buy lower, or you are a sad troll - not good either way is it?
Why do you spend your whole day on this BB being negative? - is it you natural demeanour or have you just invested poorly?
Funny how when the s/p rises you get all positive? - in reality the company and it's BOD are the same if the s/p is .5p or .1p and that is what I fail to understand about posters like you - you are completely clue less and have no idea about a company or it's assets, it is purely based on the current s/p, which after all is very volatile - so basically - you have no real understanding of the metrics of a company or it's potential. Good luck with investing - you my son will need it!
No we will be funded properly by the autumn - the Atlas loan was an infill IMO until BP was running and long term finance on a decent basis was an option.
If you hold long term in an early stage mining company, you need to be aware of the ups and downs of the s/p
I have held since 2014 and have both lost and made money in VAST - obviously you need to crystallise gains at the appropriate time - however just before a mining company is about to start generating revenues is a strong buy, BP is going into production next month - it's a no brainer!
I don't want to get into personal insults, it's pointless and I am not interested.
VAST is a 100% buy now, with mining of BP starting next month and fully funded.
The placing was to cover any payments due to Atlas before revenues from BP cover them, or finance is secured from a better source.
VAST is a STRONG BUY!
The only reason I still post on this BB, is that there are I am sure some LTH who look in occasionally and still think VAST is a good company and will make them money. There seems to be a consistent attempt by some posters on here to knock anything VAST do - well that's there problem and not mine - I still support VAST and it's BOD 100%. I only post when there is a significant development - over the past few months this has been mainly placings, which no shareholder wants unless it will bring a net growth to the value of the company going forward. Unlike the usual suspects I do believe AP has the interest of his shareholders at heart and if he thinks placing is needed then so be it.
BP is a great and very valuable asset in the heart of the EU, (the largest trading body on the planet) and VAST has so many other great assets.
Anyway as I posted last night the s/p will go up towards mining next month - so you derampers have still got time to buy ;-)
Investment like comedy is about timing!
Whatever your views of AP, the company is going to be mining a large multi metallic mine next month. This will create decent revenues and should achieve an MC of at least $60 mil, probably more - giving an s/p of .4p to .5p on BP alone. If you bring in the other assets that looks cheap. I have lots of VAST shares right now and will make lots of money (again). Investing in AIM juniors is not easy but getting all emotional and upset won't make you any money. Learning and buying at the right time will - the other side effect is you won't become a deramping moron like our Fantasy and will actually make some money - which is the point!
Interesting post from JC on Twitter at the Thorny River prospect in SA. They appear to be looking at potential alluvial diamond mining. i think this could be significant - alluvial's are very easy and cheap to mine.

Not sure where you get that from baits - there is ore exposed in the mine ready for removal. i.e. the shafts and tunnels are in place to mine the ore. I cannot see where it is stated ore is ready to process on the surface ?
It's been dead for a couple of months, probably due to lock down in Botswana/Zim/SA. I think that ends this week in SA.
There are several projects BOD have that will move on soon, the s/p should respond - this company owns the prospective diamond fields in Botswana and SA, there is also a chance of new projects that JC referred to in a recent podcast in Zim.
MC is very low for the potential IMO.
Surely I am not the only person buying VAST? - whatever you feel about AP etc., this company is about to start mining a large poly metallic mine in the heart of Europe and the MC is £17 mil. The mine is worth $80 mil easily when running and probably way more. Been loading up all week this will multibag IMO from this stupid low price.
Yes this is a ramp DYOR and please don't blame other posters is you screw up!
MM's have been selling shs for a few weeks and not buying many, so they are probably short ;-)
I hope the pressure is kept on and I do not see why not?, anyone wanting out at sub .7p is probably already out.
Those of us who are prepared to wait a few months could be rewarded with a multibag if Mars2 is anywhere near as good as Mars1 - ($270+ mil of revenue in 2 years). JC seems confident - hence the "high interest" in this kimberlite and all the lovely pics of gems.
With the many projects BOD have in their portfolio, I think 2020 is going to be a great year for shareholders.
