gbj - No it will take a couple of months to get the diamonds through the kimberley process I should think and then they will go for auction (if we get them back). If we do get them we are sure to have cash to pay off some debt within a few months of receiving our evidence back. So IMO we will need a bridge loan and that will probably be convertible on default as with Merc - of course the diamonds in the safe will serious derisk any chance of default. They must be worth at least $50 per carat maybe $85 if they are of average quality

Well FTB that train crash VAST released its accounts and lo and behold they actually made a profit! - Well you just can't tell with these AIM shs can you - well you can't obviously. I am glad to hold both BOD and the nearly 200% up VAST, though I am sure there will be ups and downs on the way for both companies I think the prospects are good for both and if BOD is involved in Marange it's also a multibag.

Short squeeze? - I don't know where you got that load of b**llox from but I think you must be confused - SVS are in administration - theri clients who hold many SVS shs will not get them back until next year - but SVS were not short. Long of 1.5bn shs or thereabouts - I know I was an SVS client

Not sure BOD are out of the deal with VAST at Marange, we will have to wait and see. VAST will be the main player though and get the lion's share. Looks positive for BOD either way and VAST - both have great assets and will be a great investments if they get together or not IMO.

I cannot see a placing in the near future - AP confirmed finance is due soon in the podcast. I doubt they have headroom in any case.

The finance will have been in place in order that the ZimGov allow the deal to go ahead - There is no way they would grant VAST a licence and not see that concession being mined in short order. AP has been working on this for over a year, everything will be in place and scrutinised to the hth degree

I have tried to explain the reasons why VAST has gone on this course - I am not saying AP is not to blame for some of it but there have been many constraints that most people do not know about - this goes back 6 years and is so complex it is biblical.

There are 127,000 carats of diamonds that belong to VAST which we will get back if these are settled - possibly $8mil in value.
