Echo - We know there is a kimberlite at M8 just not the size, if they find M8 is of a similar size and as rich as Marsfontein M1 which had revenues of $275 mil over 2 years and repaid all capital outlay in 3.5 days then that has to be worth an initial s/p of 2-3p based on 670 mil shs in issue so MC £13-20 mil. If it is proved up/JORC estimated as similar to M1 then M8 should add $40-50 mil surely?.
It is just a guess but BOD could 5 bag easily from here in the near term

If they hit a diamondiferous Kimberlite at Thorny River this will add more, we will just have to wait and see.
BOD is way undervalued in any case if you look at all the assets the company has and all the other projects - this will just be the start IMO.

I did explain at the time that was based on us getting the BP licence and the Merc funding . I proposed scenarios based on facts, I have also stated the downside on many occasions. Though actually having a large amount of VAST shs I am generally but not always positive. I do not like this Atlas funding deal for instance, but longer term VAST is still a great investment.

I am Castaway - (here we go for the nth time - this is getting very boring) I have never ever predicted any s/p for VAST without caveats to explain my thoughts - the predictions were based on events happening and only if the occured - I stated this clearly why I thought the s/p would reach a certain point based on facts at the time and stand by every post I have mede. VAST is what it has always been (well for 10 years) - a company in a poor position financially with great assets - most AIM companies are in this situation - that is why they are on AIM - to acquire funding. If you invest or trade in AIM you must understand that. Making money on AIM is like comedy - it is all about...... TIMING!
I have given up giving my opinion as it is pretty pointless. However in total contrast to my previous statement if/IMO when we get the Marange concession the s/p will bag at least - this is not difficult to understand and even the likes of the great sage buko may get it :-) - predictor of .1p - what a ****!

There have been 4 placings in the last 2 years the directors took a small part of one - directors do not usually take part every placing. Taking part in 25% of them is pretty good IMO

Pecten IMO the joint broker is nothing to worry about - I agree it's normally alarming as a placing usually follows. However in BOD's case they have just placed. The broker was appointed to replace SVS who are in liquidation - Beaumont Cornish were a stop gap broker as BOD would be suspended due to AIM rules without a broker. BC are more nomad than broker, they got the gig they really wanted.

Ripley it depends on how you classify "keen" - long term investment - no, but it will bag at some point, just like it did last year IMO , so worth a punt

As has been said, I think people are buying in ready for the drilling at Thorny River - the recent placing provides the cash to complete it and we know James and Subterrane have been out there last month surveying the site from the video posted on twitter.

If there are 5 kimberlite pipes anywhere near as good as the De Beers Marsfontein mine we will do very well as BOD shareholders the single pipe produced the following: "This deposit, although small, repaid all capital outlay with its first 3.4 days of production. Yes BOD has been a slow burner over the last few years, but there are potentially company changing events due soon. As perroverde pointed out.

MC of BOD is minute - the management team have already discovered the world class Karowe mine (containing an estimated $US2.2 billion of diamonds) and they can do it again.

As you say Echo potential multibagger if any of the projects come good. Lets not forget solid revenues will come this year especially if the JV with VAST is successful Marange is absolutely massive and even a small % of that will bring decent cash flow to BOD. Looks a winner allround at current MC.

VAST can do what they want with the cash - the RNS states they will get BP running - $6 mil is decent funding $2 mil for debt pay off and $4mil just for BP and working capital - when the diamonds arrive the further tranches fund those.

I feel todays funding derisks VAST for 6 months and in that time we should get the diamonds and BP going - little downside short term and huge possible upside.

I think it's going pretty well - VAST has cash to start full production at BP and it looks like the diamond concession is due "imminently" ;-)
No placing as we are fully funded for all projects.

JC has been tweeting a lot from Thorny River, they seem to be getting ready to do some drilling from his tweet yesterday "Drone survey to support Subterrane's final field verification before drilling on Vutomi's Thorny River property in South Africa." Hi Ripley I am still in BOD, long term for me, I think James Campbell is a very knowledgeable guy and good things will happen to BOD in the near future - fingers in many pies etc.

This old chestnut of paid rampers comes up everytime the s/p drops and vice versa with derampers. People who are unhappy with their investment seem to need to blame anyone who happens to be positive about the company without taking responsibility for their decision to invest. These boards are discussion forums and only that - however IMO it is entirely wrong to accuse posters of being paid (unless you have proof ) and it is libellous - anonymity is no protection.
So please let's discuss the company and not the posters.

Flava we have a funding deal with Atlas for $13.5 mil, enough cash to bring BP on line and mine the diamonds - the deal is signed and the first tranche is due any day.
