IMO this is a good placing - small discount with Teichman and Directors buying giving the company the ability to really boost production with great mining backers who hold nearly 30% - no brainer - I have been watching BRD for a couple of years and now I'm in.

Well he sold all his free shs - so we can assume the selling by him is over

Shetty was set up IMO - nice guy offers you loans on your shs, a way of accessing your equity and getting cash - he probably would not have foreseen the consequences. This goes on in Aia and the gulf all the time.

Autonomy - it was probably all part of the same deal - they were proteges of Shetty - dunno but it's smaked the s/p down and if the business is OK there is money to be made in NMC

If there are no fundamental problems with the business the s/p will recover quickly.
We now know why the s/p crashed from £13 to £7 in a few days, Shetty sold to cover a margin call.
IMO he was set up he had $millions of value in shs but could not sell them to gate cash - the guy is in his late 70's! - sosome nice fund offered to lend him the cash using his shs as collateral on the basis that is the s/p dropped below a certain point they could sell them, or he would have to pay cash - anyway I am sure MW were in on this and shorted the stock causing Shetty to sell and the ****storm that followed - anyway looks like a buy right now IMO

I agree greg , but Shetty probably has been shafted by some clever hedge funds, it will all come out in the wash eventually. Anyway it gives a bit more clarity as to when the shs were sold and IMO is very positive.

BOD is illiquid and will rise and drop more due to this. If the drilling results are good the s/p will seriously rise and there will be more liquidity.
Apparently there are 15.1% shs not held in public hands, however in reality this is much higher as Mr Tealing's mates have a large holding and some have their shs locked in at SVS, so the free float is actually very small.
I have held BOD shs for several years and it looks like my investment is about to pay off.
