Well, in fairness to others, if you click on the 'fundamentals' tab (here, above) and look at the entries for 'net interest', 'Total Current Liabilities', 'Total Non-Current Liabilities', 'Net assets' and 'Net Asset Value per Share', the picture does arguably appear pretty bleak. Until, cpi announce that they have paid down debt, one should not assume otherwise.

Know0, until they state that the debt has been paid down or cleared, we should not assume that there is no debt or no significant debt.

Well, we are working on the basis that they've actually achieved their stated objectives. Massive let down if they haven't. Rollercoaster.

Without ifrs included liabilities and not knowing what office and utility savings have been had, my guess would be around £300m+. It's just a guess, so don't rely on it. DYOR.

@Know0... in case you haven't realized what the 'market' has realized, a company with an annual £3bn turnover and not much to show for it is classed as 'not-for-profit'. It's effectively an extension of the State or the equivalent of a charity... oh wait, charities have billions invested!

Know0, I doubt anybody could give you an accurate or even ball-park, hence the sp. I think the 'market' doesn't have much faith in what was presented.

@Gman, neither is mine , fortunately. However, I suspect that a few people here have placed their nuts on the chopping board and that their wives won't be best pleased about no holiday abroad this year, no trip to Eastbourne, not even caravanning. @Eats, he'll get it, because my view is that Know0 actually believes in cpi, possibly has a JL loyalty card, and appears consistently insistent, persistent, assertive and tenacious which blots everything else out on this BB and possibly cpi IR.

You're 'posts' are more reasonable. PE at 120p may be unreasonable given the work done on cpi by management and we don't know how good the profit margins are. A PE offer would flush out all shorts under the 0.50% threshold and compel management to justify any rejection of the offer. What is the source for the '4th August'?

One can do all the research possible as a retail investor, but it is in my view, still a largely an issue of pot-luck. If brokers were valuing cpi and other companies with particular target prices as far back as December 2019 and companies like cpi are in as good or better shape now, why are those targets now so low? Generally, I think analysts are full of it. I think it's mostly educated guess work and a bit of hope and a bit of luck. I'm not generally swayed by the verbiage in rns's and presentations as I've been around too long. I've had money in companies that looked great on paper and only ever went down and got diluted, in contrast, I've had money in no-hopers that spun a profitable sp. Go figure.

I think it's a grower not a shower stock

Since 11th June, apart from 3 days, looking at the daily chart, all other days are red for MTO, so CPI isn't much different.

My very brief view of recent events. Everything I am locked-in on has dived today, without exception. I am so much under water that I now need scuba gear. I'm now so much in the red that I may as well move to Cuba. I think that the RWC transfer was an 'off-book' sale hence the transfer, the sale would not have been on the open market. The reason is unknown to me why they would shed the shares, but they did so with centrica too. I do not think the drip-fed shares into the market was anything to do with the off-book sale/transfer. If I could wind back the clock, I'd have gone for mto rather than cpi.
