The risk/problem is losing that controlling interest in the company.... but, it's all about making money I suppose.

Would be amusing if tpt did a share offer of 200m shares, thus forcing msg to prop them up rather than face a dimunitive holding and then get them to pay again for a takeover.

I think it's easier for the competitor to have tpt flogging their wares than to go to the expense of a takeover. I think it would be easier for a competitor to takeover tpt rather than try to establish itself here from nothing, as tpt already has everything in place.

@Trenners, let's see what happens over the next couple of days. They did the TU on a Tuesday which I found unusual. The money funds don't sit there only looking at cpi and they don't have the luxury of the time a p.i. has.

Good write-up. 'Virtually' there. Also, "They also noted that more than 50% of Capita's enterprise value is tied to net debt", which I take to mean that there's no point in running a business to merely service debt. Time for that debt to go.

Thanks, I suppose the disposal scheme still hasn't finished yet. I suppose no business needs to be totally debt free, although it should be sustainable.

I am hoping that a substantial part of the £239m will go to the £289m of debt and that any further disposals will totally clear the debt and leave something for a share buyback. Any thoughts??

Here it is "Pre-IFRS 16 net debt at 30 June 2022 was £289.3m", we are now in December 2022 and a lot has happened. GLA & always DYOR. Wake up! NoFear!

Hopefully we'll be chuckling about the 'Capita Experience' euphemism all the way to the bank before not too long.

It might be that they put proceeds of sale into a fixed rate fixed term temporary high interest bearing account before paying off debt. We'll see tomorrow.

I'm totally bullish, I never thought I'd see NoFear so despondent that he'd question his skills and gut-instincts, even to the extent that he'd misread Beachy's post. I guesstimate that interest bearing debt should be between 150-250m. I also think that possibly we'll be told that they are considering a divi or a buyback post-H2 2023 if things go smoothly. I'm hoping to at least see it in the 30s by the end of next week if not by the end of play tomorrow.

Any idea what time the TU will be with us??
