I think you're missing something. Since slavery was invented, as nations formed, slavery migrated to slavery of nations through war, the easiest example is that of the Roman Empire. It is unfashionable to invade and occupy countries in recent history. Instead what there is, is financial slavery of nations. You get them to sign up to all sorts of agreements and then interpret them differently for your own benefit. We in western Europe and the US live off the financial and political slavery of other nations. It's how we live and survive, that's why western Europe including the UK always backs the US as US hegemony preserves and propels our interests. To maintain and progress our way of life, we have to step on others. It's normal and if we don't go along with it, we'll collapse.
