Showing my age, 5 1/4 % wasn’t considered high last century. Spoiled by artificial rates / market rates after the crash of 2008.
I’ve been offered a free service after 12 months and a recovery plan , if I took out finance with the dealership. Would every deal be investigated for spin off benefits offsetting the transaction. ?
Regarding the share trades page and items shown in grey unknown trade.
No replies ,so I asked admin. Sorry for providing some knowledge, feel free to skip if you are only on here to play politics.
That would likely be classed as an unknown trade since we're not provided the trade type from the Stock Exchange.
We calculate the trade type based on the trade price being higher or lower than the mid price at the time of the transaction. Sometimes this calculation does not work, or the price is the opposite side of the mid price. This means we are either unable to calculate what type of trade this is at all, or the calculation shows it as the wrong type of trade (a buy instead of a sell for example).
Kind regards,
Craig
On the share trade page ———- buy yes , sell yes. What generates the grey unknown post ? Fascinating watching the attraction to 44p , Hopefully we get an upward break out soon.
Thought I had dropped a clanger, when I saw my purchase (14970) go through as a sell on the trades page. I hadn’t realised that a contra entry would show. Rushed upstairs to review my holdings.
Defensive sell and buy back x% of my portfolio, having taken a bath on the original brexit vote. Lost 30 shares but happy to have been proactive this time.
Quick recovery from low 50’s. hopefully a continued rise on fundamentals not politics over the next few months.
Not too long ago loads of folk, me included, where registering an interest in the final 5% of the Guvs shares. Never happened, but the institutions happily kept diving in at the low 70’s . The professionals got their fingers burned again on this share. Will they have written off and traded elsewhere or will these be locked away as a long term growth stock? Point being — will we see modest slow gains until some funds hit their “ get out of Jail” make a profit figure. Increase trading at the seventies to break upwards quickly after the threshold has been crossed ?
Off topic , great to be able to read a Lloyd’s board again. I stayed away for ages.
Happy New Year and welcome back I always like how you conduct this board. However just reading an earlier post I now have doubts on your judgement --- Pep looking exposed, Jose finding the way. I know you message on Lloyds -- did you pick up on the sad departure of Mr Meercat . He was always interesting to follow. Shifted my holdings to the Black Horse over the last few days, the future looks better, to many issues to resolve on both your "Blue" teams
Hi Hope this finds you well. I was in your neck of the woods over the weekend, alas The Trawlboat wasn't the highlight of my outing. Comment ----- Traditional Sunday lunch. Pub opposite has a large banner advertising Traditional Sunday Lunch, the Trawlboat was packed with drinkers not diners. Had the Sunday roast been available it would have been my choice. Economies of scale, knocking out a conveyor belt , Sunday lunch to a decent spec, should be a winner. It would be interesting to know if the number of covers are down on Sunday or if customers just migrate to different options.
Yes, I'll presume they entered the Chapel after you. B & M started with a small store just off a car park in Cleveleys, queue outside to get in, walk past anything ,don't expect to turn your trolley around to go back. Find something unusual, cheap but good -- odds on it wasn't there the next time. I was being cryptic, to protect your id -- if Tomohawk was the guy who axed down prices to Bargains.
Thanks for the tip. I can't be upbeat about the Trawlboat. Very good "potential" on a Sunny day in Summer for Al Fresco dining, but they won't be landing my trade. Small shop in Cleveleys , Your starter for ten ?
Good report, I know the Chapel at Darwen, which must be a flagship in the spoons fleet, effortless perfection each time I've been in. Next time I'm in the area I will check out the Stonegate pub. I always seek a spoons when I'm traveling around, Stonegate sounds another option. Like all service businesses, the staff make or break the place.
Nice to see somebody hit the keyboard. 10% off in a week and no comments. Doing practical research -- I appreciate staff costs will rise with the minimum wage, but there are no small spoons. From what I see you have large pubs with a small amount of staff in the day -- and more staff in when the footfall rises. If small back street pubs survive, Spoons must be making money when the places are heaving. You don't see staff hanging around, if they are busy, they are busy creating revenue. I bought them because, like the guy from Remington, I like what I see.
Or should that be in " public house" Interesting interview with Tim Martin, in which he tells how a chair breaking a window in his first pub influenced the branding, Wetherspoon. Don't want to spoil the story, go for a pint, find out yourself and boost the trade. Bought in at £6.90 a few months ago. Needed a bit of diversity in the portfolio.
