Please spare us from hearing cross ramping garbage about where in Africa we can put our money for a guaranteed double up whilst we wait for the JD share price to drop back to 65p, unless of course it goes up, in which case I’m sure you will have already bought some more at whatever price happened to be the low before the bounce 🤣🤡.

In the interests of transparency: I have been selling since 10.40am in small tranches and I am now completely sold out of JD Sports.

In the interest of transparency James is once again retrospectively claiming to have sold at the top throughout the day and has spotted a few reasons why what was one of the best stocks in the world yesterday is now going to collapse but best of luck to us all. 😆🤣

James has been crying ever since I called him out for retrospectively claiming to have bought and sold at the very top/bottom a few times… in fact probably some time before that, he’s been crying ever since I called him out for claiming Woods Group would be sold for £1 and it got sold for 30p. As I say I will be here with my holding long after the clown has made his £500 and ran. These people turn up, try to look like they have lots of money and know what they are doing, next thing he will be telling everyone there is a better opportunity on some AIM junk he’s already invested in for anyone who’s bored. He reminds me of the Romanian scammers on London Bridge who get very angry and upset at people filming their betting games, only it’s not tourists money he’s after, it’s naive investors.

Given it was £10 less than a year ago I’m not sure £8 would cut it but maybe they fancy a cheeky bid with the price so low at the moment. Then again, perhaps they are accumulating at these levels ready to try and force something through. Certainly worth keeping an eye on things.

Sorry for selling a few % of my shares for profit - I will check in next time and make sure it’s alright with you. I know I will still be here with my shares long after you’ve gone with your 10% of 10 grand 🤣. I am looking forward to the imminent turn of sentiment and new ‘predictions’.

James - For the same reason I didn’t sell my house, everything I own and take a bunch of loans out to buy as many JD sports shares as I possibly could. As I explained to you several times yesterday, I have a long term investment here as well as making a short term punt. Just because I have a bet on JD to win the league, doesn’t mean I want to bet on every game.

Looking very good, I still have eyes on £1.50 in September if everything falls into place.

Citing an “uncooked” on Betaville, some traders say private equity shops Apollo Global Management (NYSE: APO) and CVC Capital are working with MGM on renewing takeover overtures for Entain. It’s also possible that the finance companies are considering acquiring the UK-based sportsbook operator on their own.

The report also suggests that Deutsche Bank is advising and possibly financing one of the Entain suitors, but it’s not clear which one.

Happy to make a bit on this FF but probably cut it a bit short this time. Don’t worry I think we all know James is the excited young bull running down the hill, he will learn eventually but sometimes needs a gentle reminder.

James we all know you have been here a few weeks with a couple grand, fluked a quick 10% and now claiming to know the ins and outs of the market. I will still have my JD shares long after you’ve left, which won’t be long because I’d say give it a day or two, first sign of a small retrace and you will be claiming to have already sold at the top and think the fundamentals don’t look good any more based on your ‘research’, then tipping some AIM junk.

I don’t understand why you can’t seem to get your head around me having a long term investment here based on future potential and also buying a cheap few last week pre results as a bit of a fun punt in the hope results would be good which I cashed out fairly quickly this morning for 5-6% profit.

We both made money and we both got lucky but only one of us thinks it was down to research and skill 😆

Not sure what you’re getting at? When someone says they bought shares as ‘a punt on the results’, that usually implies that they are ‘betting’ on the share price following said results, and yes that is a ‘gamble’ - because I didn’t know what they might be… well done. I also have shares that I have held for a while and will continue to hold for a while.

I don’t really need to argue who’s willy is bigger with a clown who thinks they are Jesus resurrected (and everyone else things is a moron). Personally would have been happy to break even on my 66p purchase based on what I read this morning and took 70p instead. I still have a long term holding.

I sold the shares I bought last week for a punt on the results. I still have a holding multiple times what you could even dream of.

I’ve cashed my 66p punters, selling for 70p feels like theft on those results. The rest can stay until at least September, let’s hope this is wokey schultz master plan

The background numbers look alright, it’s the big ones and the forward looking ones that are disappointing. Free cash flow on the back of several buybacks look great. Dividend still quite poor. Dropping forecast to 750-850 after hitting 854 when we should be aiming for 1bn+ is spine lacking.

Agree Lorenzo, the only hope here is that they are setting a very low bar to outperform in what should be a very good year with the World Cup (which didn’t even get a mention).
