Hi Beholder,
You make a valid point; it’s not just the gold miners whom are languishing- but that belies other structural transformations that are occurring in the global economy. We are all thinking that Covid is over - it isn’t! Not by a long stretch. Markets are jittery and good news can see marginal gains in the short term, only to see the gains swallowed back down over time.
But, you can’t argue with value over the long term. Six months ago, proponents of Bitcoin would tell you Gold is dead and Bitcoin is the new standard of value. Well it isn’t. The digital economy relies on its industrial value as an element as a conductor, if nothing else. I could keep waxing lyrical, but I’ll refrain.
To me, as long as my horizon is long enough and my‘mettle’ strong enough, pardon the aural pun, then I’m comfortable to keep topping off.
I think BCB has a touch over 3% here? I have a touch over 1%. I’m committed and sat on my hands.
Have a good day all.
