RE: iron ore4 Sep 2018 12:18
Talking of iron reminds me of the days before any of us on this board had even heard of Vanadium.
Go back five years or so, when we were primarily an iron ore and potential phosphate
producer......One of the main topics of conversation on this board was
1...The lack of regular updates and...
2...All the news via Rns's was too compact,ie all or nothing.
Regular posters at the time would complain periodically that instead of giving out good news over a series of
announcements, thereby helping to sustain the share price,we would get one, overlong diatribe
stating everything the company was up to but boring the pants off the reader.
Just like Today, there were a few well respected, competent posters who would digest the
released figures and post there thoughts on this board (Corbs of course comes to mind) for
the rest of us to 'Muse' over.
Replace 'Corbs' with BBN or Alpha and keep NickD who was always there...Seems very similar as now.
Move ahead to present times and you will notice that nothing has changed over those years.
The PR is as bad today as it ever was but we live with it now as we did then.
The positives have always out weighed the negatives but if you wish to invest in a
company that places a greater degree on good PR above good leadership and future prospects
then of course you are free to do so.
If everyone who complains about the poor PR here had delved a little deeper in their initial research
perhaps they would have found out about 'FM's' lack of communication skills sooner.
They have been obvious enough over the years and discussed here more times than I can
remember.
Opinions from a glass half full poster :~))
