Thanks BB, your negativity in GKP’s prospects has given me more confidence in my investment. Shaikan heavy will be in demand long after light sweet crude has had it’s day.
Google translation of one paragraph..."Erbil and Baghdad have agreed to resume oil exports from the Kurdistan Region," Hussein said.
Hi C_ockeye, just a simple deduction on my part. Light sweet crude is suited for petroleum distillates and demand will reduce as vehicle electrification increases. Heavy oil is preferred for creating a number of end products such as asphalt & petrochemical feedstocks and demand is expected to remain solid.
Like I've said before, shaikan crude will be in demand long after light, sweet oil has had it's day. Nice try BB (and your paymasters) but I'm not buying it. Have your paymasters bought enough shares yet at this level to make a killing when this comes good?
The more concern that BB raises, the more confident I am of a successful outcome.
It’s clear to me that BroadfordBay is paid to nullify irrational exuberance and frankly he has done and continues to do a good job for his paymasters.
MSCI Index update effective from close on 29 Feb 24.
£1.36. Am I bothered, no. If it goes down to the 70's or lower am I bothered, no. Despite what BB says, Shaiken sludge will be in demand long after sweet oil has had its day.
Question should be why is it being raised again now.
"One hopes that the local politicians have a more mature attitude."
You're new to investing in Iraq I take it.
Knowing our luck it's probably an oil leak.
Taha, haha, tata.
I agree belgrano. Stay strong and united APIKUR, I'm happy to endure local sales for another year or more if needed. Let's see who blinks first. Baghdad would rather all of Iraq suffered, rather than give KRG and their IOC's an advantage. Turkey, stay strong and don't release any water until agreement is reached.
I should have said that if I had relied on buybacks instead of dividends I would be bitterly disappointed now. Dividends have kept me just above break even at this point.
@BlackSteel, where have you been? At last some common sense regarding buybacks. Had I not taken all of my dividends I'd be looking very sick now. I'm looking forward to hearing more from you than P from now on. Thank you for your contribution.
Please just keep it simple, how much profit do we get per barrel?
I’m praying for a worlwide bicuit shortage, that should get things moving.
Let’s hear it from the IOC’s before we get excited, only for it to be another false dawn as usual.
Unfortunately the mind set over there is that it’s better to cut off your nose to spite your face.
Surely not grumpy with a certain poster for getting caught short?
