Makes little difference, if the inevitable is poxy electric cars, they won’t u-turn on that. Hopefully they’ll keep putting it off until they produce a decent alternative, greener solution without the travel limitations.
@LTI
FFS- Here’s where you went wrong, again:
“LBG which was formed in January 2009,has had a maximum price of about 89p.”
Ignore the evidence, again.

See the sp at over 89p in 1999, again.
Unless you continue to claim you alone know better than Yahoo finance, Google finance and many other finance sites, again? Sites with very clear sp history, including Lloyds, for you to ignore, again.
You sir are full of it, again ☺️🍿

Oh dear LTI, now you will be crying into your beer.
976p in 1999 ☺️🍿
“Maximum price of about 89p”
Cool story bro.
Now for the facts:

On 1st May 2002, Landlord Lloyd’s sp is 502p with an intraday of 640p.

Lloyds Banking Group PLC https://g.co/kgs/zkrEcn
Maximum sp above 500p.
Ah, evidence! ☺️🍿
“I have been at 10% cash for a long time - I may start reducing that to 5% - could be a sensible thing”
Storing that 5% inside my wallet, instead of Landlord Lloyds, then at least it will be perfectly safe.

@Fantasy portfolio.
This portfolio is skewed. I think the perfectly valid “Lloyds dire share” viewpoint is mainly based on comparing todays SP, to the SP around 1998 to 2008, among most other previous dates, when the SP was far higher than it is now.
The long term SP trend here is very much in decline, largely to be expected when the board here get free shares each year.
The relevant question for the Uk indigenous people is, when will foreigners pay us reparations for invading us and destroying our economy, our NHS, our rights, stealing our affordable housing and clogging up our roads? How many trillion is that lot?
I once saw the queen, she put a smile on people’s faces and made the Uk a few quid. I can’t see prince Charles doing the same, he will likely cost the Uk money and what the nob head is doing with this enquiry into British reparations BS is just nonsense wokery.
Well played if you sold here above 43p.
“Hopefully we stay low for a few more years”
Looking at Landlord Lloyd’s SP graphs over the last 2 or 3 decades, you’ll get your wish!
A distinctive downward long term trend, but Mr Nunn and fellow board members will make a profit, by selling their free shares every March.
