RE: Help with info29 Nov 2020 19:32
Olivier Véran said this Sunday, November 29 in an interview with the JDD wanting to take his time and reassure the French about the vaccine against Covid. The goal? Make sure it is reliable, before offering it to the French who are in the majority who do not want to be inoculated.
One way to encourage the French to get vaccinated against Covid? In an interview with our colleagues from the Journal du Dimanche, the Minister of Health Olivier Véran gave details of the government's vaccination strategy with a roadmap, while explaining that he did not want to be "constrained by an end-of-year agenda. 'year". And to specify not to want to rush in order to ensure the viability of the vaccine: "We will start when we have all the guarantees, and we will do everything possible to be then operational", indicates Olivier Véran.
"It is out of the question to say to the French: 'we could start the vaccination, but we are not ready'". He concludes: "there is no such thing as zero risk". Regarding the details of this mass vaccination plan, the minister also stressed that this "comprehensive, clear, transparent, effective and prudent strategy" will be detailed very soon, in the days to come. But one thing is certain: this vaccine will not be compulsory, as announced by the President of the Republic during his presidential address on Tuesday, November 24.
A real challenge for the Minister who faces the mistrust of many French people in terms of vaccines. This one especially arouses the spirits, its conception time having been extraordinarily short, to the point that many people think that this one was created in haste. As a reminder, according to an IFOP / JDD survey, 59% of French people are still reluctant to be vaccinated against Covid.
