There are only three main posters here who are posting nonsense. We've had posters here like that before. Every board seems to attract posters like them. You may already be aware of the types, the traders who seem to be able to time their entries and exits perfectly and will ramp and deramp depending on whether they are looking to buy in or sell out, the shareholders who tend to heavily exaggerate their holding but will make their investment decisions based on the PIs of a company and then there are the posters who are like broken weather vanes that just point in one direction no matter which way the wind is blowing.

Broomtree - If you read the posts you will see that Mr DNero was the one questioning the infill drilling program and spreading fear, uncertainty and doom.

It was you yourself who posted yesterday that it was not a good start to our unified company. What did MTL do wrong yesterday to prompt such a doom mongering comment?

Don't tell them that LMA, these are the guys that have been invested in a gold mining company that has never produced an ounce of gold. Apparently they are the experts here.

With Mr DNero informing us that all necessary infill drilling has already been done then surely the best site of the open cast mine must already be known.

Now we have Mr Broomtree telling us that the infill drilling is being done to find the best site of the open cast mine.

After hearing comments about La India being a shovel ready project it is even more absurd to now suggest that the positioning of said shovels has not yet been determined.

BobDNero - Don't you find it strange that a lot of CNR shareholders don't believe the former CNR BoD but you expect MTL to just to take what they have said as gospel.

Darren Bowden has recently experienced less than accurate figures when he was first appointed as MTL's CEO so he's naturally going to ensure he has all the necessary information before commencing a major project.

You don't become one of the top 5 mining experts in the world by ignoring the details.

Mtl has got rid of troublesome major shareholders in the past.

Mellon will be playing nicely whilst pushing to ensure that his CVRs see a return.

They'll be pouring gold in no time.

The new drilling program, which they absolutely need to do to be able to generate a mining plan, will determine the size of the resource and if there is more gold than currently estimated, as has been alluded to by numerous former CNR shareholders, then it will be found and reported.

Yet some people are concerned about the CVRs.

My second sentence literally stated that the company was being badly managed. I'll expand on that for those that didn't understand or read that far, low recoveries of gold, low volume of ore mined, Biox circuit beyond the old BoD's "expertise", poorly designed mining plan, etc, etc.

Darren Bowden and his team got the mine and processing plant running at and above design specification but yeah, the PoG helped MTL to clear it's debt 6 months earlier than I had forecast based on $1950/oz. Not really that significant as the debt would still have been cleared and we would have been having this discussion in six months time with CNR's sp at even lower levels than it was when the offer was made last month.

Price of gold certainly helped to pay off the debt quicker than was expected as forecasts were based on $1850/oz - $1950/oz but you seem to be suggesting that the rise in gold price was down to luck. To put that statement into context, any mining company that has produced gold for a 9 year period, as MTL has, at any point during the last 20 years will have been selling the gold at record prices.

Gold was $400/oz 20 years ago. All those lucky mining companies!!

SurreyNot123 - 10 years ago MTL's SP was 5p compared to CNR's sp of 64p. During those 10 years MTL commenced production but was being badly managed. Gold was being produced but not at a profitable rate, the company was going bust. 6 years ago Darren Bowden was appointed as MTL's CEO. This is what he said at the time of his appointment.

"I am pleased to be joining Metals Exploration during this next chapter. Runruno has the potential to be a leading low-cost gold operation and benefits from supportive shareholders and stakeholders. Clearly the focus is on ensuring Runruno can operate at its intended nameplate for a sustained period of time and I look forward to this opportunity."

Since his appointment MTL has transformed it's mining and processing capabilites, paid off it's $135m of debt, got rid of a troublesome major shareholder, purchased the Abra asset and are now in the process of acquiring Condor Gold and it's assets

Everything that the MTL CEO has said he is going to do, he has done. Every forecast has been achieved and exceeded. He has said he is going to build MTL into a £2b company.

I hope that explains the SP performance over the last 10 years for you. Maybe you could explain why CNR's sp has effectively halved over the last 10 years.

Broomtree - Aren't you going to sell your MTL shares as soon as you get them? Why worry? People are buying MTL shares now because they will end up with more shares than buying CNR. People buying MTL shares with the 9.9p cash will drive the price up.

Sunjammer99 - It would seem that Condor has shareholders who voted both for and against the deal.

Whichever way you voted, you will now be invested in a mining company that is actually mining and producing.

You will now be invested in a company with a CEO who is one of the top 5 mining experts in the world and who has already accomplished with previous companies what he has set out to do with MTL.

Since his appointment as CEO he has overseen share price growth of 1200%+ and has stated that he expects to grow the company into a £2b company. If the prospect of seeing your investment in MTL grow by another 2000% from here is not for you then there are plenty of other companies that you are welcome to invest in. Why do people keep expecting the major shareholders to make a bid for the company when the major shareholders keep helping out the company with loans that enable the company to grow and the SP to climb higher and higher?

It appears that the uninformed are the posters and CNR shareholders here who believed each other and the CNR BoD about what the asset would be sold for and to whom. Only a month ago posters were stating that a bid would be coming in from Calibre or China that would then spark a bidding war.

The hand you were dealt was 7-2 unsuited and the MTL offer is guaranteeing a pair of 7's and a 2 on the flop.

SurreyNot123 - With a 1200%+ rise in the MTL share price since Darren Bowden was appointed it would be difficult for LMA to have been "burned" on MTL.

Broomtree - If this deal "has the look of a classic Mellon play" then surely it is something you should have been expecting and planning for.
