RE: Brexit - what a joke!!!28 Nov 2020 21:47
Brexit.
In an idealistic world we would all get things are own way... but for the good of everyone, including the kids and grandkids division is not where its at!
There are issues that need sorting out but these run very deep into the system, the way the banking system is set up... a look at America and how they have filtered money to corporations for the good of the stock market during a national crisis for rich peoples shares at the expense of everyone else highlights this inherent issue.
Fishermen for example make very good money as part of Europe, they are not poor and they still catch fish.
Same systematic issue, everyone wants more, it'll never be enough. The issue. Not who controls a bit of water.
UK has been at the forefront of progression for a long time, my lifetime at least & we are going backwards, and many of the problems / reasonings people voted a certain way are down to those in power being selfish and the system we are operating in.
The EU was originally formed was to prevent wars and have a union, this is more important than the local fishermen buying another boat, despite the contrary argument.
If Brexit comes back and slaps us on the face because of our politicians arrogance then those same fishermen will very likely agree & if they hadn't got sold a pack of lies would they have voted in the same way? Ironically, if we leave the EU with no deal, fish prices will plummet.
Whats the problem with having slightly less so people arn't starving on the side of the street ?
We will lose Scotland after Brexit, who can blame them ?
One has to question why such an in-depth question such as "Should we remain in the EU" even gets put to the general public... You wouldn't ask Sally at number 32 how to do heart surgery & in the same way this dynamic should have been left the economists (& politicians but sadly these lot are an unbelievable level of selfish).
Boris clearly has never had any intention of doing a deal with the EU and his mates sheer arrogance and disregard for anyone but themselves will, with any luck, eventually bite them on the arse.
