Thank you BS.
The article regarding "95% being blown out of proportion" seems a little bit of a non-article. No new news in there, another opinion thrown into the mix of many opinions. Legitimate vape companies mirror the underlying sentiment of that article, in the sense that kids should not be vaping and we are all wanting to support a the cessation of tobacco and, eventually, nicotine.
"He says the 2015 public messaging should have been clearer - vapes are only for adults addicted to cigarettes."
This is the real paragraph that matters.
Thanks for sharing Oppenheimer.
Brilliant read and far more encouraging than the tabloids from yesterday. I highly doubt that an outright ban will come into place, but if it were to happen, it wouldn’t happen for some time. We can continue to make hay whilst the sun shines and pivot towards pod devices.
The vapes are receiving huge praise for their flavour and their non-nicotine focus. We are well positioned here.
I've also started doing a deal with my mates who vape. They place an order and try the vape itself, and if they don't like it, I'll take it off them and reimburse them.
I've had three guys agree so far and safe to say I haven't got any returning the vapes. A few more are arriving this weekend.
Bellers; that is awesome. I've recently purchased a vape for a friend who is an amateur-level rugby player. He has been battling smoking and nicotine for quite some time and has been desperate to try and stop altogether. He LOVES the Blueberry flavour and there a number of his rugby mates who are in the same boat.
Whilst vaping isn't good for overall fitness, a reduction in Nicotine intake will help improve his fitness. I think there will be many sporty folks in a similar position who could benefit also.
Roger, what exactly do you want? You really are a negative nelly.
The update gives us, oh, and UPDATE on the roll out in the UK which launched less than a month ago. 120 stores have seen the margins, tested the product and are stocking in 4 weeks. These will continue to rise and gather the sales data that you so desperately crave. What did you expect?
I have never muted anyone, but you're pushing it.
I hear you Malco, and didn't think you were trolling either just for the record.
The major issue is a lack of education. If you ask any average Joe, they will suggest that vaping is as bad as smoking, which is categorically wrong. The term 'vaping' is now a bogey word for any news outlet trying to sell a story. I saw a recent story that suggested that vaping is linked to a 'lower sperm count and reduction in the size of testicles' in men. When you actually read the article, the study was performed on rats and the findings were that NICOTINE was the cause, not the action of vaping.
Callum and co are doing a very good job with weathering this media bombardment, attempting to distract from the recent BS in relation to schools and concrete.
When I was a child, I tried my first cigarette at 13. I started smoking semi-regularly at 15 and quite when I was 22. I wish vaping was there in its place. Sure, kids shouldn't vape and there should be repercussions on stores that are seen to sell to minors, but vaping is a healthier alternative to the cancer causing smoking.
There is no forthcoming ban on disposables, but there has been mention on it being a possibility. The real emphasis needs to be on a robust recycling scheme for these vapes.
Any store stocking disposable vapes, generating revenues of over £500 from those sales, must have collection points for consumers to be able to return the empty vapes. These stores also should be ID’ing kids and refusing sales. They aren’t doing either of those things.
There is a prototype for a cartridge devise, so if whatever absurd reason a ban did come into force, we have that. Counterfeit vapes are a huge concern though, with there being hundreds of them already in the market. The lack of testing is heinous, and a black market for disposables would emerge.
Tax the disposable market, develop a robust return scheme and we are flying.
I’d imagine our RNS’s will be less frequent, but will contain far more juice than in previous times. The last RNS covered a lot of points, and so I hope the next one summarises a lot of the avenues we are exploring and the announcements we are seeing through the soft launches.
I’m not sure this alone is worthy of an RNS.
How much research have you done into CHILL?
Seriously, the RNS on Friday wasn't a shock to anyone. No one was expecting huge sales figures and Callum has outlined that on a few occasions. The figures also did not include any vapes sales at all.
I ask again, how much do you know about the company? If that RNS was shock, go back to the drawing board and do a bit of research.
The statistic that I liked was if we sell 0.6% of the vapes that our rival competitor, Elf Bar, managed last year, we’ll be high flying.
Cross-pollination will be a huge driver for all the brands on the website. SEO will improve as each brand comes onboard and attracts their own cohort of purchasers. Zero will be centre stage amongst some great brands in the months to come, and with the plethora of advantages that Zero will boast, failure shouldn’t be an option. I’m sure Callum has puffed a few vapes over the last year, with VapeTV also supporting us with the roll out.
I’d be surprised to have secured such positive networks if they all didn’t like the taste, feel and branding. ‘What ifs’ are important, but so is product confidence. Like you’ve said, the website is a totally different model and helps us diversify the opportunity for us all.
Tech
The website isn’t purely a commission generating Avenue from its online sales, CHILL boasts a very healthy distribution network in the US and their network is expanding in the UK also. Callum has made it known that we are well positioned to support brands from entering either market, and in doing so, we will generate even more revenue. Exclusivity has been a word thrown about a few times, and with the ‘health and wellness’ market always doing positive, despite the economic climate, we should be fine.
Launching a huge product range is expensive and if the products don’t perform, is a real hole in anyone’s wallet. Supporting other built brands with market penetration and e-commerce makes the most sense, surely?
With the positive flow of news from the US re CHILLZero, the future products will likely be additional flavours and adaptations of the soon-to-be flag ship product. That’s how it should be.
DYOR.
I'll divulge that I am not currently in this share, I sold around £1.60 a share to push it in elsewhere.
I am wanting to invest back into here because I can see the problem that Feedback is fixing with Bleepa. What is the hold up do we think? I regularly check this board and I see a lot of very well informed investors which is a breath of fresh air. Why is there such a lull and when will this share catch a break?
If this can go around 85/90p by the end of the month, I'll be forced to buy some again and ride the waves of no news.
Keen to hear the verdict from you all.
