Thanks anyway Value, Mark, anyone else know? I'm hoping the expertise on here is quicker than Google!
Value, serious question. The impairment to me effectively says that what was paid for HPE would no longer be the going rate. Can the impairment be used to offset tax liabilities, etc? Thanks.
Looking forward to it Opulentia - much appreciated as always.
AK and Chris, likewise, but quietly confident and sitting back waiting for next week - not getting too fussed about daily / weekly fluctuations. I feel there is enough behind this to make it a seriously good investment in the long term.

He sold out way way way ago and has been kicking himself / herself ever since. Trots out the same, nonsensical rubbish about all those 'in the know' (presumably including himself in that group) waiting on the side lines until results day. Rubbish, anyone with half a clue has seen the recovery since November and us taking a position. Ignore him, and he might just go away.
Mark has consistently said this over the last few months...and been proved correct. I am, like others, waiting optimistically for the results. Too many on here get jittery feet about sporadic fluctuations and then spout nonsense. Sit back and wait for the results. Conversely, if you're truly convinced that the results are going to be that bad - sell!
Likewise BT...it has become rather tiresome.
Apendragon...puerile...filtered.
Good post Pandamonia, but I think you're wasting your time trying to educate a certain other poster who is clearly Warren Buffet in disguise.
This is pitiful. I was invested here since about 2013. From memory, when I first bought, there were circa 60 million shares. I bought first at about 35p...and finally at about 87p (remember those days). It went slightly higher (never made the £1 - so no party) but has fallen incessantly ever since. I have forgotten the number of placings (it's a lot) and many were cited to pay for pre-contractual expenses. However, nothing substantial has been delivered and we are now robbing Peter to pay Paul. The financing has been disastrous, like continually maxing out one credit card to pay off a different one. I have put up with Iran (unfortunate), the ferry (poor leadership) and more MOUs that have gone nowhere than I can remember. I did sell a little while ago at a loss, but I held this for too long. I was suffering from FOMO, but I've had enough jam for a year (let alone just tomorrow). I honestly do wish all the other LTHs the best of luck - I hope PF can finally come good on one of his promises. My God, you deserve it.
Agreed - this is not going to be a quick win. I've been invested for best part of 5 years now so am used to waiting (I'd say I've even become quite good at it). I, like Gaz, feel that there's something tangible here that could make serious money. Like everyone else though, my fears would be allayed with some evidence of contracts and associated revenue streams. So, if you're reading this Tom...
Wow...thank you 'Awesomedan'! With such clarity and certainty, you are obviously right. I will sell off quickly today...yawn!
Just topped up myself - just hope we're seeing the end of the price plunge.
It's working for me Nessab.
Recommended post Gaz. How's that? Smile emoji
Long may it continue Bill...hopefully, the start of something more sustained.

Likewise McDoule, I am not entirely confident but cautiously optimistic. I post little but have been here far longer than most (to my financial cost). Undoubtedly, we will find out more tomorrow. I have, like others, seen bad luck alongside some disastrous management decisions. I just feel that this time may well be different (without trying to sound like a well-known market trader from Peckham).
Wishing all LTHs the luck they deserve for the patience they've shown.
Oh my word...the messiah (DHC) was right all along.
Off to sell all my WSG and buy INTU - and revel in my good fortune of reading his posts before 0900.
Boom boom.
