Shares update from Bioseek31 Aug 2012 09:22
I emailed the company and received this response
Dear Mr. XXXX,
Not surprisingly, we have heard from a few others with similar questions. In
response, here is what BioSeek's CEO has said:
<<The shares you now hold in Asterand plc have become shares in BioSeek,
plc.
When we sold the tissue business to StemGent, it was an asset sale, not an
equity sale. This means that the cash came into the company and did not go
to shareholders. The company immediately used the cash to pay off the debt
holders in Asterand.
Shareholders also approved delisting the company from the London Stock
Exchange. Since then, we have become a private company registered in the UK.
As a private company, our shares are not traded on a public exchange and the
shares are pretty much illiquid. You still have your shares but they are in
a private company. That does not mean that they are worthless. BioSeek has
value as a company. At some point in the future when we either sell BioSeek
or go public again your shares will be purchased by the buyer or have public
exchange value.>>
BioSeek has your contact details, and you can expect to hear from the
company when there are issues having to do with shares and/or
reorganization.
So basically your shares are worthless unless Bioseek sell their business - Great!!!!!
