Hear me out. The Lithuanian situation might actually help NATO and Russia focus their minds on the need for peace.
Let me explain... In the Western Media they recognise how that can be seen as a provocation to Russia.
If Russia Retaliates in a military way, then NATO will have to live up to its Promise or be shown to be a big bluff.
So now we talking a war between Russia and NATO. We know that in a conventional war Russia loses. So it will definitely use Nukes.
Now this possible downward spiral will have been contemplated in Western capitals and the fact that it is now more real than theoretical may force the leaders to actually look to start calming things down.
I can definitely tell you that America does not want to be dragged into a war with Russia when its eyes are on China. Especially a war instigated by Lithuania.

@roxy2020. I am sorry to say but you are waffling. Russia when into Ukraine to seize territory to create a "country" for thise two republics that Russia recognised just before the invasion. If at the end of the fighting and negotiation he gets to keep the territory taken by force it is a victory.
So again i ask you will Zelensky give up Ukraine territory YES or NO?

@belgrano The quicker Zelensky wakes up and smells the coffee the better for the country. I peronally believe he wants the Ukrainians to suffer so much that they will take any peace deal without saying he betrayed or surrendered too quickly. Look at the Azovs they held out NEEDLESSLY until the wives started saying they want their husbands back also look at the excuse he gave " He said Ukraine needs its heroes alive" He will say the same when he signs a peace deal with Russia.
