At the Q1 update Nesis explained the rush to redom - he talked about the possibility of the Ruddian govt seizing foreign companies from unfriendly countries and look Putin has signed a decree to that effect.

If there is anyone who should be running this company at a time like this it is Mr Nesis.

The kremlin discount is short hand for the write off loss businesses from unfriendly countries have to pay. I am sure everyone (who is not in over their head) knows.

Regarding the sale, the question is lose some of the business or loss everything that is the risk Nesis faces.

And when Poly is redomed in Kaz I am sure he will get fair value all things considered and he can invest in mines in other Central asian countries like he has already mentioned in the last call.

@JAB they probably have. I remember there was a guy who popped up in the news some time back saying he was in discussion to buy the Russian assets. Nesis denied it on one of the quarterly updates.

So maybe POST redom theybcould have that discussion and sale without the Kremlin discount.

All those assets you mentioned were owed by companies from UNFRIENDLY COUNTRIES.

The reason the redon has to take place FIRST before the sale is that the UK is an UNFRIENDLY COUNTRY, so when it redoms in Kazakhstan which is a FRIENDLY country then those discounts will NOT apply.

That paragraph is key in the RNS. However the sale (if they decide to sell, which I think they will by the way) will only happen after the redom. So I don't think the deep discount that Moscow requires for disposal of assets by Non friendly countries will apply.

So we can expect fair value for Poly Russia.

And if they sell then I don't see why Poly Kazakhstan can't relist on the LSE.

Might be worth holding the shares in ISA afterall.

Regardless this is a long term play. 1- 2 years.

JohnNth the separation( and maybe) sale of Poly Russia has always been a possibility.

I expect a sale and a special dividend to be paid. Going forward Poly Kaz will look to relist in London and look to buy other mines in the region.

Once the sale happens, I expect the SP to return to about £7 especially spiked by the expectation of the special dividend.
