Prigozhin has been complaining about the wat Russia is fighting the war, Wagner soldiers are seen as heroes.

So if after his exile Russia does badly in Ukraine, guess who the Russia people will begin to call for? Prigozhin. Because now he will have been proven right. He has martyred himself for this war (at least in the eyes of the Russian people.) HE has also forced shoigu into the spotlight and everything that happens now will be blamed on him. The Russian army will need to step up now.

If Putin is smart he will end this Ukraine war quickly either militarily or through negotiations.
