Yep, I reckon tomorrow, hence the presentation...
Farraway, absolutely agree.
Re the global tech company, I'd imagine it's one of the big boys otherwise I find the NDA puzzling. Let's face it, if it's a big blue-chip business signed so recently after Triller, it will be totally game-changing. I suspect personally we won't find out until a 6 month trial contract is complete or something like that (pure speculation).
I keep thinking that I'd love to see a list of 7digital's target clients, that would be very interesting. How many fitness company targets are there? How many apps of size need this music facility etc. Would love to know about all of that.
Can we drown out this TikTok dialogue. We signed a contract with one of the fastest growing global apps on the planet, Triller. It shows the kind of business we can win. Because of the TikTok issues, Triller has gained increased exposure. It's been a huge positive for 7digital. I hate that the tone sometimes is as if this company relies on the TikTok ban, which is total tosh.
Re the results, we know they won't be great, so the company's future doesn't depend on that either. Positivity about the last few months and the future are what we need to see/read, positivity around profit as well as further contract wins over the next few months with big businesses.
Misterpositive please let us know if you find it, I can't. I cant imagine they will release the name with results to be honest. I'd imagine it's an NDA for the client's purposes and I doubt that'll end on results day... I imagine there would be a six month contract as a trial and announcement on renewal or something. But obviously I don't know and could be anything.
Absolutely right eyeguy, let's hope there's not too much hysteria if they're poor... looking forward to next few years with this company.
Thanks Mark, thought so, no mention of revealing global tech company any time soon which is frustrating but that's business!
Sorry if I'm missing something, some people are suggesting that we will find out global tech partner next week/with results. 7dig haven't said that have they? I haven't seen it.
Well yet but of course results will include earlier struggles.
Updates on H2 of this year will be key, as would some indication on effect of Triller's growth on 7digital, as would further client wins, name of tech partner etc.
Agree TravelCrypto, but some of us are just saying can we let the TikTok saga not drown out fact that this company and stock are well positioned for some steady growth with some of the recent news.
I am not expecting this to go to 10p soon or any of that bull, but there shouldn't be any deramping, we are in the middle of exciting times for 7dig.
Devilbhoy you're not wrong. But that isn't the only point. Banning downloads of TikTok will surely lead to more discussion about and downloads of, Triller. Further uncertainty around TikTok could of course take high profile TikTokers to Triller.
I agree that this is not necessarily the end for TikTok, certainly not in the short term, but the team at Triller are no doubt delighted I'd imagine and hence so should their suppliers be, hence excitement here.
Sorry, meant to say "I'm not expecting great results". typo.
Kuschall you are spot on. I'm not expecting these results, everything you've said is right and points to not great results. Next year's results will be good, and so will multiple interesting client wins that will no doubt come over the next 6-12 months. Unlike some of these all or nothing covid stocks, I think this is a good long term investment, on the basis of the current CEO seeming like a good operator, their ability to gain interesting and large clients (Triller) and due to the future of music on demand/live performances etc etc. I'm prepared to hold long term here.
Absolutely Frozen, couldn't agree more, it's painful - but some people are just trying to ride a blue upward graph and don't have any idea about the business. The Triller/Tik Tok thing is definitely not the story here, it's a potentially interesting part of it but that's it. It's further client wins like Triller, and then a global tech company, and more in future that are key, as are becoming profitable and making the most of the exciting growth space they are in. Now they're on the map, they'll pick up new clients more easily, their growth will accelerate - I just can't imagine the, retracting over the next 12 months personally.
Back in the 2018 accounts, it looked to me like they were making approx 60-70% of their money through the monthly usage fee and service fee and less than 20% from downloads/streaming (DYOR). But that I was across their client base, that's not to say that that's the deal with Triller. Also, they've pushed hard towards B2B sales for B2C companies, rather than just standard B2B work, so things have changed. The big appeal here is that they're on the map, and can do deals with companies like Triller, which is a big leg up. They're also in a rapidly growing industry with endless potential, they're getting some things right. Re the global company, no that can't have been Apex, as that announcement was only on an RNS reach and Apex are not a global tech company, that wouldn't be a fair description of them. I think there will be another announcement about that. Again, dyor and all imho only.
Triller: The new agreement is for an initial minimum term of 18 months and commences immediately. The company will receive both a monthly licensing fee and usage-based payments to capture Triller’s future growth.
Sorry, not Darkhorse, I meant Counting Cards...
Darkhorse, I'm around 2.75 too, painful but if I had the cash I'd buy more now, which is all I need to know.
Spot on. Rob, I got burned by the placing but I feel being invested in a highly aspirational technology platform that has shown it can win business with the likes of Triller and has a future of growth within remote live music performances is a good thing... I'd be surprised if in 12 months time if the share price isn't a lot higher. Re the global tech contract, I keep coming back to Snapchat who are launching the ability to put music with videos. Everywhere I've read it says they're doing this with partners Warner Music Group, Universal Music Publishing Group, Merlin, AND MORE. Pure speculation on my part but that would be big. Big possibilities here, but also potentially just steady, interesting growth over time, regardless of current SP.
