There is a reason for the SP sliding, it's the fact that there hasn't been any news...
Paul made it clear. The business is moving into a profitable position and we should expect positive/interesting updates in Q4. We are only 3weeks into Q4 with two months and a week to go.
I wouldn't get to fixated with the news element, unless they release something spectacular, the news when it comes could just be small and mid-sized contracts, which if they become frequent, would be just as exciting as it would show growth and appetite for this product.
The share has gone quiet but you're invested in a progressive, now profitable business that is very clearly moving forwards, the SP will too as things evolve.
Instagram did use Soundcloud according to google, but that was an older deal.
Instagram launched Reels in Brazil as a test market in late 2019 I believe.
But god I hope it's instagram.
If it was instagram it would be pounds surely.
There will be news. As I said, the share price rocketed on sentiment that wasn't 7dig's doing frankly, Trump moving to Twitter, the TikTok ban etc. The business has turned itself around, and as we saw in the presentation not long ago, they're feeling bullish and positive, the pipeline is good, so there will be news. Some of us got spiked (me included) but we're invested in something going in the right direction and good news will come. As the business continues to improve, so will the news and eventually, the share price, even if it's painful in the interim!
Pure flaky jittery sentiment. There was some hope there'd be a covid grant this morning (no reason why there would be) and people are jumping onto other things, as so much is down this morning. If expectations around announcements are correct over the next 3 months then it should sort itself out...
Thanks Potnak, Searle and Baserite, much appreciated.
Despite looking, it's quite difficult to find out how many of these grants are turned down/granted.
What is a realistic non-ramped prediction on timelines for next RNS's please?
Thank you anyone.
To be fair, it's not 7dig's fault that the share price rocketed over Trump joining Triller and a possible TikTok ban - all out of their control. They deserve credit for being a small UK company signing up a major global social media client when no doubt Triller are pretty well connected in the US to companies and suppliers within music and technology!
I'm in at 2.77 average, before the placing... painful but do I expect it to get back there with 2 or 3 positive RNSs, yes I do.
I said a while ago, one thing I would just love to know is how many realistic targets their sales team have. Paul says home fitness is a good area. How many manufacturers would be open to incorporating 7dig's application into their app or software? I just don't know. I believe with Peloton you just use Spotify right? I don't know.
He mentioned also social media companies. Triller is a music based social media business, but obviously many aren't and those that might be or want to be, would they use 7dig over something else?
Most tech companies are doing multiple commercial deals on a very regular (often daily basis) but this integration of a music application is not a quick deal to do, hence why we don't see new contract wins every day I guess.
All of that said, music streaming is huge and is growing and of course 7dig make money from each user/song used, which in itself is a deal/revenue generation.
I've said this a few times on this board and not got an answer - forget the current dwindling sp, is it a terrible bet to be invested in a now profitable music tech business in a growing market with a highly capable (we hope) and ambitious CEO... no it's not, hence why I'm not thinking of cutting losses but instead hoping that he grows turnover dramatically, signs two or four large clients per year with many, many small ones. Painful at this moment though sure, but only the beginning of a pretty positive few years ahead I suspect.
What news were you expecting? Them to tell you about the grant before an RNS?
Is there a dive because the company are not giving away information in advance of doing so in the upcoming RNS's? What are people expecting? A presentation about the results or a presentation in which they give us the heads up on loads of good news ahead of time...?!
itye, how deep are you in here?
But forget the non-news based fluctuations in the share price for a few weeks, do you think the business fundamentals here make an interesting investment long term?
Yes.
It will, just needs news, which will come.
Honestly as hard as it is, this is a LTH and regular news over the next 12 months will take it up. The company is in a better position than when most first invested.
I'm in over my head but still don't think long term I will regret it. In essence, having a share in a profitable, capable music streaming business capable of partnering with global social media platforms and tech companies, that has a growing business in home fitness and live music events doesn't feel too bad.
The share price should retrace to where it was over time, it's far, far from a no-hoper, quite the opposite.
I know, generally when I buy prices go down instantly, sorry guys :)
I'd expect a small bounce this afternoon, the next 10 days should be positive, but let's see.
Just topped up!
Agree there's loads of upside. Just depends if you're trading or investing.
Again, with the current business trajectory, I couldn't be more certain that things will improve here gradually, but just probably not immediately!
DYOR of course.
This is only potentially a negative if you were looking to sell in the next 4 weeks anyway.
The company needs cash to grow into what we want it to be, a bigger success story than ncyt.
I think the share price might rocket past the placing price tomorrow but even if it doesn't, it'll go past it in due course as more positive news comes out. Global expansion is clearly the goal and now we can do it.
Only way to lose money here is if the product doesn't work, which clearly isn't the case. DYOR.
Sorry if this has been stated, there are only so many pages I can read back through.
What are the chances of Sar not getting the covid grant and secondly, the patent application failing?
Thank you!
