Odd trading here. Historically, tumbleweed, rarely reaching volumes above 200k per day.

While in the 500-600p trading range over the last three months volumes have been understandably higher with the change in listing, but the price still seems so often to have artificial spreads and lack reaction to large transactions when they occur.

This morning being a good example with a bulge of high value transactions, seemingly buys, at 524p, and then back to trickle of transactions, also seemingly buys but with the purchase price drifting a bit lower.

Odd.

I'm happy with the trading statement.

Mortgage applications in the first 19 weeks of 2026 15% higher year-on-year, in line with the Board's expectations.

And the rounding up nod to the reason this one's such a steady business:

"MAB's long track record of year-on-year revenue growth across all market conditions."

A trading statement is usually issued by MAB1 on the day of the AGM.

Despite the general gloom afflicting the property market, I'm optimistic there are reasons for positivity here which I hope to see on Wednesday.

Very interesting and encouraging (even the irrelevant sector comparison, in a way)

I note Rob Woodward, the Chair, bought £64,666 at 353p on 20th April.

I doubt much has happened in the last few days to materially change his view of the medium to long-term prospects.

As you say, a very, very unusual setup.

The targets seem ambitious but plausible to me. Even if they fall short, which wouldn't be surprising in the face of the current market problems, I'm expecting they'll still do well and continue to strengthen their competitve advantage for future years once markets recover.

Anyone else imagining the price should go well north of 600p in May following admission to the main market?

Well, it's been much more interesting than usual here today.

A rollercoaster of price moves with some lovely bargain pricies for anyone wanting to buy, as I did.

Topped off by someone diving in with nearly £400k, who obliged me by waiting for me to finish shopping.

As I had to go out this morning, I jumped out too early, accepting only half the rise, in case it was a spike and drop while I was out. Well done to everyone hanging onto today's full 30% : )

Seemingly more buying interest today than of late - hoping it signals imminent recovery!

10% up suddenly - that's more like it!

Only another 33% on top of that and we'll be back to end Jan (and Q2 of last year)!

At last, price up in recognition of great results on so many metrics, following on from this morning's presentation for analysts
