Cobus Loots, CEO of Pan African Resources, on delivering sector-leading returns for shareholders. Watch the video here.
I hope that people tuning in to us don’t think that a 1kg order is small potatoes.
To put things in perspective, a 1 metre wide single layer sheet of graphene over 1km long would weigh approx 1 gm!
This stuff is truly disruptive.
Good point.
It’s also a massive tick that the product is approved for airlines before iso standards are agreed.
Maybe the barrier has just been raised against those with inferior products who are slowing the iso process down
Hi BigC
I haven’t read the article yet, my mate is bringing it round later today, but he did give me a synopsis.
Maybe this is why we have the Dit guys on board? To help ensure any deal is the right deal to protect the govt investment in the industry.
Hi Lucky
Ridicule knows his stuff, I’ve seen his posts in the past. I think that Neill was in a senior position in Renishaw in the past. But I can’t remember why I have it in my head!
I’m no good at this twitter stuff so I’ve asked the Vrs group if someone could ask Neill about any relationship with renishaw.
I hadn’t realised that renishaw was such an innovative company until I watched the bbc program.
When it comes to engineering company’s my mindset is still in the 70’s/80’s. big mistake!
Did anyone watch the programme about future materials.
A company called renishaw has created a tungsten foam that can be printed to produce new joints for hips etc
In the program was an aerogel foam as well.
Somewhere in my memory I recollect that Neill ricketts held a position in renishaw.
There are a lot of potential connections with VRS if someone cleverer than me was to start looking in greater depth.
Foams, printing, etc.
It’s a wierd mental battle when the price behaves as it has been. It’s like the cartoons of my childhood, on one shoulder is the fear gremlin, on the other is the reason gremlin.
Reason won the psychological war, nothing has changed except I’m still below some of the prices I have paid, but I’ve still got all of my shares.
And I’ll be chuffed about that when news drops.
Frequent fund raises?
I’d much rather have fund raises to increase production capacity, and purchase company’s with a technological fit, than to provide “working capital” to pay overinflated salaries!
Vrs raise money for growth, not to”keep the lights on”
Look back and you’ll find that the uom provided funds at 19p when the share price was about 11p. Why did they do that? They knew what versarien were capable of. One of my reasons for investing in the first place.

The shorters will chuck the kitchen sink at us today.
There is a smell of desperation about them.
Any collaboration is a future order, but until a significant order lands, the shorters will use the collaboration as an excuse.
You’ve got a good memory!!
I have a feeling I got suspended off lse after my drunken humour. Or lack of!
In order of importance, my sons childhood friend was killed in an accident, my son had his car written off but luckily walked away (not connected), and I watched a £60k+paper loss. All in 10 days.
So if I need to apologise to anyone, I do.
Anyway, I didn’t sell a single share, just bought more at 130, to watch them bottom at 111, but I consider it to have been a good move now.
By 9am Friday I took my tin hat off, and by 2pm I’d ditctched my tin knickers, only to be replaced by my graphene enhanced leopard print thong. With maybe a Spanish superconductor thrown in, or something! Hic !!
Onwards and upwards, steady the buffs etc.
