Ben Richardson, CEO at SulNOx, confident they can cost-effectively decarbonise commercial shipping. Watch the video here.
He is restricted by what he can say.
Anything that could be construed as sensitive is governed by market rules. Hence his mention of the Nomad.
plus he has NDA agreements in place with customers.
To breech the NDA's could lose customers.
At the GEIC presentation it was brought home to the investors how our digging can complicate things! Basically the poor bugger has scores of us stalking him!
So I can understand why he is very circumspect about what he can say.
Mike b over on advfn has mentioned a film on youtube, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OlBZ51QLEfs
if my crap attempt at adding a link fails, then just search for WMG battery. it went out about 7/8 hours ago.
It's informative, and on the basis that VRS have at least 1 person in WMG, one to draw your own conclusions!
Sorry
To be clear, what I am trying to say is, if you are approaching break even/profit after years of work, and can finally see the growth you have worked for, why would you sell?
That is the bit I can’t understand from the last presentation.
Hi TruroTrader
It looks like more machines are needed than are on order.
I’m pleased about the share consolidation, however a 50 mill share might prove to be more volatile, as it’s relatively low.
I wonder if the “for sale sign” that they’ve put up is their way of attracting investment for further production capacity. I mean joint ventures/bespoke production lines. I don’t think that the company is very sophisticated in the way they communicate.
But I do think that they are honest.
I hope I am right.
On the basis that the company has a policy of “investing before the business arrives”, and that up to date 61% of turnover is in the US currently, can we assume that if these new machines are destined for the U.K., the turbine business is just about “nailed on”?
I was in here 18 months ago. And left out of frustration. I would buy back in if I thought there was a proper future for the company as I can see the benefits of flow batteries. Bolgas finished me off!!
Is the Gen3 proven, or is it just talk. I’d like to think it was proven, but how many have been made?
Many thanks
It’s hard to describe the progression that this company is making. There is a plan/strategy that is clearly being played out.
From today’s podcast it looks like contracts are in the negotiation phase. They must be looking positive, because the company is looking at/visiting larger capacity. On top of which they are planning how to containerise the production kit. In other words they must be preparing to be able to commence production elsewhere.
All this, as per the strategy presented less than 2 weeks ago.
Since that presentation Tungshu partners with Geic.
Things seem to be accelerating.
And then later today Tesla buys Maxwell technology. I’m not saying that this has any relevance to Vrs, but it just shows what a small world this company is operating in. Gnanomat have connections with Maxwell, and WMG. Maxwell work with WMG. Vrs have someone in employed in WMG.
Stops me getting bored!
Trek, in all honesty I have no idea.
I don’t know if you’re on advfn, but if you are, then superg might know. His research is outstanding.
I just checked on HL and they don’t show 1 Rns never mind 4. It’s strange stuff, certainly.
That I pity anyone who might be considering Versarien as an investment, and then looks in on this board for guidance.
It’s crap. People are discussing free range eggs for F’s sake. If you have sod all to say apart from Italy and the price of gold, or where you get your eggs from, then go to a soup kitchen, and see what it’s like to be really miserable.
Or ring the Samaritans for company. It’s like the muppets in the balcony.
I’ll apologise now.....I’ll feel guilty soon, and probably rightly so, but come on guys, this is about a company that’s doing things.
There is a great summary of the Geic visit over on Advfn by Woodpeckers. Mine will no doubt be more disjointed, but I’ll try to put down the bits that I came away with, which will hopefully add to the slides on the company website.
Firstly, we have a management team, singing from the same hymn sheet. They clearly gel.
Secondly there is a clear, long term strategy that will not be distracted by short term opportunities that could compromise that strategy.
Thirdly, the team is aware of the need to deliver results quickly and are focussing on 5 projects that have the best chance of delivering results within the overall strategy. As that will provide the basis for further growth, a sort of roadmap.
Other stuff
Finance, it is very important to be in a strong position when dealing with very large customers, who want to see that any future supply chain is secure and has adequate funding to ensure continuity of supply. There are the 50 million shares in reserve of which 22 million can be used to raise cash. So, coupled with a low cash burn of £63k a month, the company is in a strong position, and ready for future developments.
Production capacity, the 3 tonne machine is not just something where you press a button and Nanene pops out. It is a multi stage process that has needed to be tweaked in order to ensure the quality. The main engineer is currently with the manufacturer looking at even biggger stuff.
Gnanomat, current focus on electrodes (I think, I get confused with this stuff). They have seen significant improvements with their product, and a pilot plant has been built for proving the product. Also, since the Vrs takeover ther have been 4 new collaborations which otherwise would not have taken place.
Aecom, is not just 1 project, and it is potentially international. From the anticipated second order of 200kg of Polygrene, 115kg has been taken, giving a total so far of 165kg. This is not a bad thing, less has been taken because the performance has been better than anticipated. Also worth remembering here that this order/sow, is for a test product to gain standards/certification.
Please remember that the above is my take/ thoughts from yesterday. I’m happy to be corrected if I’ve got stuff wrong. Always do your own research etc.
