POLB 001 is being trialled across six NHS hospitals to help prevent Cytokine Release Syndrome (CRS), a potentially life-threatening side effect of cancer immunotherapies.

Around 70% of patients receiving certain CAR-T and bispecific antibody treatments can develop CRS.

There is currently no approved preventative treatment for CRS.
