Jason Drummond has a pretty interesting track record. I’d describe his business acumen as very strong in spotting trends early, raising capital, promotion/market positioning, and building listed growth companies — but more mixed when it comes to long-term execution and stability.

He’s one of those classic late-90s / AIM market entrepreneurs who repeatedly got into sectors before they became mainstream:

* internet hosting and domains

* online gambling

* FX cards/payments

* fintech

* digital marketing

* AI/health tech

His early big success was Virtual Internet in the dot-com boom. He founded it in the mid-1990s and built it into a company valued at over £200m during the internet mania. At one point, newspapers said his stake made him worth more than the Spice Girls combined.

What stands out is:

* he started entrepreneurial ventures extremely young

* he clearly understands investor psychology and public markets

* he repeatedly managed to get businesses listed or funded

* he’s very good at identifying “story sectors” before the crowd

He later co-founded businesses like:

* FairFX (which became a legitimate fintech success)

* Coms plc

* gaming/gambling businesses around Gambling.com and casino assets

* several AIM-listed ventures and incubator-style companies.

So overall I’d say:

* Exceptional salesman/promoter

* Very strong at capital markets

* Good at spotting emerging sectors early

* Strong networking and dealmaking ability

* Clearly entrepreneurial rather than corporate-manager style

* Comfortable with risk and scaling fast
