Bognor Regis, Havant and Portsmouth stores always have people in, 2 or 3 checkouts open, with a couple of people queuing . Not rushed but steady, that is late morning/early afternoons on weekdays.

If I didn't have too many shares already I would get some more. Long term they look a solid bet.

If B&M doesn't discount in the run up to Christmas they will be the only retailer not to. Currently clearing freezer in expectation of supermarkets doing 1/2 price joints of meat. Guess means they're in trouble every Christmas...

The recent uptick in share price might also have something to do with the CEO showing faith in the prospects of the company and showing with his own money. There was a significant uptick in price when he bought a chunk earlier in the year as well.

Share price holding up well. Does anyone know if there is any implication of Severfield suspending its dividend in terms of dividend focused funds? Looking at the institutional holdings of Severfield there are several that market themselves as income/dividend:

JOHCM UK Equity Income Fund 9.25%

Unicorn UK Income Fund 5.06%

CT UK Monthly Income Fund 2.51%

MI Chelverton UK Equity Income Fund 1.86%

M&G Dividend Fund 1.36%

M&G UK Income Distribution Fund 1.28%

Unicorn UK Ethical Income Fund 0.84%

Do these funds generally suck it up and wait for things to get better and the dividend to resume?

Still think Severfield is a good bet long term (barring the economy tanking). Just wondering in the short term if this will cause a dip.

(that is off a quick trawl of RNS results, so please double check. It's early I may well have got something wrong).

A bit dubious about the extra £9.1m "other bridge related costs" they dropped in on top of the £23.4m. Comes across a bit sketchy tbh (and not the first time sadly on this bridge issue...it's a gift that seems to keep giving).

Long term hopefully things will improve, but that was more eye watering than I expected to be honest.

Not seen anything announced. On their Insta page they have about starting work on some of the contracts which were previously announced as being delayed. The big battery factory, City of London police HQ and London Poultry market are some I remember.
