Amend and extend glencore facility, let just say £1bn till 2930

In return glencore get an improved rate and seniority.

TLW then buy a shed load of the 26 bonds at reduced rate.

Although the coupon would be higher hopefully it would be around the same amount as we're currently paying as the total debt would be significantly reduced (I haven't done the math on this)

That would then give perksy time to sort production out

A few positive things to end the day

We are still a going concern, we generate revenue (granted maybe not enough at this minute but that can be hopefully changed)

IP would not have taken the job if he didn't believe, yes he may not have CEO experience but all CEO's have to do it for the first time at some point, let's hope he is successful.

IP and CFO have massive share options, it's in their interest to win.

RG has been buying, although no one knows why

Costs fall off significantly over the next year

We will generate cash from two other countries in the next few years

I might be wrong but if D4E was on the cards it would have already happened. As already discussed its does not benefit the bond holders if this goes bump, my bet is on amend and extend.

These are now in the bottom drawer for me, happy to wait a few more years as long as the refinance gets sorted and IP is given his chance

Maybe wishful thinking, just hoping this is all part of the negotiation to sort the refinancing. The amens and extend sounds reasonable but guessing the bonds holders what too large a return.

If D4E was a real option I dont understand why they didn't just release that today, if they do it now they're in a much worse position.

Im just hoping the refinance get sorted and it gives IP time to sort everything.

I also thought Friday was a bit strange?

Is there a time limit for them to issue an update? Could it be that Friday and they're giving themselves as much time as possible to get refinancing sorted?

Or could it be damage limitation by releasing on a Friday?

Well, I was wrong, thankfully! I'd convinced myself a cheap takeover was going to happen, unlikely now.

On reflection from yesterday, what was said that we didn't already know, not a lot! Other than they've decided to put the fear of god in everyone. The reason for which I'm not sure, informing the market of a real issue, dirty washing out for new CEO, attempt to get the SP down for cheap TO/merger, etc

I thought long and hard last night about selling, do I want to lose my investment, NO, will it sting YES, but would it change my life, no, so I'm staying put.

If they get the main three issues sorted (big if), refinance, production up and cost down this will be a very different animal, and the SP will be significantly higher (although no where near my original target of 90p)

And to add, why has RG been buying, surely he knows more than most

Bond prices stay solid, don't get it, all the warnings about refinancing and the bond price doesn't move, obviously the market is expecting them to be repaid.
