China is back, focusing on growth.
Wants to average 5% growth per year for the next decade. 2022 was 3%, so 2023 to achieve average needs to be near 7%.
Wants to be a part of the global rebuild of Ukraine, when that happens.
All points to an increase in China Iron ore demand.
Long term holder here- hoping that the last terrible year is finally behind us.

To be fair to Kieran- everyone moaning about the placement timing and price… if he had waited a month for a supposedly higher price we would have then had the whole of world war three to contend with. He did it at a time that was necessary and timely at that moment.
Perhaps they are not releasing info at the moment because as one poster commented it would simply be ‘buried in the rubble of world war three’.
If anything a time of war teaches us how privileged we are to be able to invest our money and seek for returns in a free and safe country.
I have just read an article on the FT about Tesla switching back to older technology- using lithium Iron Phosphate betterys which are colbolt free.
Any knowledge out there as to how this will affect demand for Lithium Carbonate and Iron Ore??
According to Fastmarkets MB, benchmark 62% Fe fines imported into Northern China were changing hands for $149.64 a tonne during morning trading, the highest since August 31. The metal has rebounded more than 70% from November’s plunge on expectations of steadier growth in 2022.
Iron ore futures in Singapore rose as much as 3.8% to $153 a tonne, the highest level since Aug. 31, and traded at $148.20 by 4:20 p.m. local time.
So I have been doing some self-reassurance in regards to the demand for lithium carbonate in a world where solid state batteries take over the EV market.
Lithium metal (required in solid state batteries) is produced with a fusion of lithium chloride and potassium chloride.
Lithium chloride is produced through treatment of lithium carbonate and hydrochloric acid.
Bacanora plan to be able to produce both lithium carbonate and hydroxide from the plant in Mexico.
Solid state or liquid state batteries. It seems our product will be required whichever becomes dominant.
And as for the 'threat' of hydrogen... I feel there is more than enough need for infrastructure transformation with both EV batteries and hydrogen fuel cell technologies, for them to co-exist in the future.
Good luck all holders. I feel the next five years is going to be pretty exciting.
I was just wondering if anyone had any research or insight into these so called 'solid state' Lithium metal batteries that are emerging as a potential game changer in the EV space?
Will these solid state batteries still require product that Bacanora will mine?
These small trades must be free platform traders like on Robin hood, where you can purchase share for no fee.
Or they could be a sign of limited share supply, where you have to buy either very small or very large amounts in order to be allotted shares.
Or could be both.
Either way, it is excellent to see the share price seemingly resting in this much higher range, it should mean that the financing creates better value for all shareholders.
Good luck all holders for the coming months.
Mexico are part of a globalised world, and I'm sure wishes to maintain outside investment.
The Sonara project is going to be a tax paying, job creating mine that will be a flagpost for future development in the country. The current legal permits won't be overturned, though future mining leases may be subject to stricter investment parameters.
I am personally not worried, as like others have said, big companies like Ganfeng have done their research and must be confident enough to proceed.
My investment is peanuts compared with theirs so I'll just trust in their judgement.
Holding for dividends in five years time.
Pure speculation but it seems from the lse trade chart, delineating buys vs sells (which I know is not 100% accurate), that the small trades are buys and larger trades sells. This tells me that it is harder to buy in bulk and that the MM's are happy to take shares off peoples hands in fairly big quantities, whereas they are making it difficult to buy.
Could this be a tiny indication that there is quite a lot of pent demand building on the share, and they are trying to gradually release the pressure valve to avoid any huge spikes?
All just my musings. I'm holding on firm here, as it seems the latest input from Ganfeng will see this through to construction, which for an AIM mining company is a fairly impressive statement. 5 years work done, and now two more to go hopefully until production!
Thanks for your responses.
In regards to the 'question of clay' you mentioned, I just can't believe that there is any doubt given that they have built a pilot plant and companies are committed to taking the product off BCN's hands.
One worry I had a few months ago was that Ganfeng were building a position in order to prevent the mine from coming online, essentially controlling the supply by constraining it, which would help prices. But it was a worst case fear, and I hope baseless.
It doesn't seem like they have a history of doing this, and it also seems that there will be ample demand for lithium even if supplies increase massively in three years time.
As you say, the financing appears to be the greatest barrier to a sustained price increase, and with any luck this will be resolved in the coming months. Personally I would be happy with more dilution if in five years time I am receiving dividends that I can be sure of for many years to come.
I have no crystal ball, but the more I read everything is lining up for a lithium revival driven by a need to reduce pollution in our cities and provide the storage for the renewals sector.
Hopefully we'll all be enjoying a rosier picture of our investment by year end. Fingers crossed for all the LTH here
Where is the sense in this share?
I am reading an article on the FT which is all about lithium demand going to go through the roof in the next decade and this company is promising to be going into production at exactly the movement demand picks up again, and yet it is stuck in a rut.
If what Peter S is promising does come true, and existing shareholders are not diluted to nothing, then we should be all ok I guess. It's just frustrating to have a supposedly world class Lithium deposit, poised to fulfil insatiable future demand with a MCAP of 50 mil. Despite the fact that it has 30 mil in cash, 125 mil debt facility and three cornerstone investors, one of which is f*******g Ganfeng!! I mean how are people not gobbling these shares up at only 2 pence higher price to what a world leader in lithium production paid (25 p) It seems absolute madness.
Long Term holder here, so bound to bias.
Yesterday LSE showed a buy to sell ratio as to be roughly the same. About £300,000 buys vs £300,000 sells. Today I just saw Buys £125,000, vs Sells £25,000.
Now I don't know how accurate these stats are, but it gives a potential indication of the interest building in this stock. Buy and hold I say.
I would be grateful if anyone had any incite into a comparison between Bacanora Lithium (MKT Cap 50ml) and Lithium Americas (MKT Cap 1.75 Bil).
As far I can can deduce LAC is further down the construction route, about half way there, and has raised 400 mil to fund construction. (Therefore doesn't have the financing hanging over its head like BCN.)
Do we think Bacanora could ever fetch such a high Market Cap once the funding has been completed?
Any expertise most welcomed. I'm a long term holder here.

I just keep checking this website for any updates. Seems like we should be entering into a final phase of sparing between INDV & DOJ. Either one will buckle and we'll get a settlement, or the case will crumble. I really can't see this going to trial. But perhaps just wishful thinking. This share recovers and I'll be getting a house, so I'm bound to be biased. GLA ;)

Is there any reason why we haven't heard about the motion to dismiss in the same breath? Could this be an indication that it will be a different verdict...
Could someone please tell me how to get access to the group without trolls/shorters? I have proof of holding, just need the number again.
