Yes, but did you notice how the metals fell at 8am EST, while the jobs data wasn't released until 8:30.

YET AGAIN it seems that people with powerful connections got tipped the wink while the rest of us have to wait for the info. The level of corruption in this "market" never ceases to amaze me.

Maverick, the intraday graph on LSE doesn't look too bad, but looking at the same graph on HL looks REALLY weird. It's almost like the price has been capped at 14p...

Weird.

Been watching this for a while & was hoping to buy-in around the 80p mark. What are people's thoughts here? Is there a dip in the pipeline to wait for, or do I need to jump in?

Well, there wasn't much chance to BTFD. Guess we can't complain too much. This is my best performing PM miner, although GPM (a fund) gives it a run for its money.

Money bags, keep buying.

Weird that the same stock should diverge so dramatically in price across two different exchanges.

Anyway, we seem to be recovering a lot of ground that was lost yesterday. As always (with hindsight) I wish I'd BTFD.

Thanks for your input, all. PMs are essentially flat since Friday's close & I expected some pullback from yesterday's healthy gains in the miners, but this has been a good day for us. My north American portfolio is up another 3% today too.

Bobby, I'm just looking at their website. Looks to me like the stock is UP 20% in New York but DOWN 7% in London.

Am I reading that right???

Anyone know why? Can't find any news, even on their own website.

Gold pretty much unchanged on the day & silver is DOWN, & yet mining stocks are away! GDX +4%, GDXJ +5%.

Why?

CMCL. £5.40 in October 2019: now £13+. Pays a dividend, too. Backed a winner there.

If you want a good divi, consider AAZ: currently paying 5%+

I've noticed that UK based miners don't move like their north American counterparts. Most of my US / Canadian-based holdings are up in excess of 7%.

£3M in dividends...87M shares in circulation. Around 3.5p p/share (or near enough 4%) by my reckoning.

Not a holder here yet, but looking to buy-in. May've missed the boat, although it looks like PMs will take a kicking in the short-term.

This is more like it: up 20p (around 15%) in a week.

Do we need to distinguish between a loss..... & loss of income? Surely what we're talking about here is opportunity cost? They're not forking-over hard cash, they're simply missing out on ADDITIONAL revenue they could've earned had they not hedged.

I'm in a similar position: had I invested in CMCL or GPM instead of here, then I would be earning more :)

What's the cause of today's rise? Anyone know?

Spreads are high here, which is a bit of a kick in the pants, but I'm pleased to add this to my PM portfolio this-morning.
