IJWT: If you are referring to T&T, this was a joint prediction by PG and the CEO of CEG, who you'd expect to have a better feel for the speed of the new T&T government. Can't blame PG for the slowness of politicians, in T&T or in Ireland. Of course he did predict production from T&T "certainly" by the end of last year, and his performance in Morocco has been shambolic.

The market makers have hundreds of companies to trade in, and they're not going to waste resources fiddling about with a tiddler like this. Also the spread is more determined by whether different MMs are quoting different prices or not. Level 2 shows you that.

The issue is not whether there are a lot of resources in the ground, or more than a lot. The issue is that after several years they're all still in the ground, despite regular statements that holes here are cheap to drill.

Agreed. However, for most laymen like me still here (some at a loss), the question isn’t the existence of the resource – we’re prepared to accept analyses from people we’ve come to trust.

The big issue is when will PG get round to monetising something. Anything.

Yes, if I were the Moroccan government, I might be very frustrated with PG. He talked the PM into going public with offtake negotiations on MOU-3, and then has produced nothing. Must have been highly embarrassing for the PM and a huge red flag for the government as a whole. Oops.

Never mind, says PG, I’m not going to put all my energy into making this right by sorting out MOU-3 and making the PM look better, no, I’m going to drill MOU-5. This is the hole that’s going to “change Europe”, catapulting Morocco into the big league. Oh, oops again.

Maybe someone in ONHYM looks at T&T, and notices that PG promised production there “certainly” by the end of last year. Oops.

Back in Morocco, PG announces he will need months to find partners just to progress MOU-3 and MOU-5. OK, think the back rooms in an oil major or two, let’s start taking a look.
