As a chemist by training who has worked with a group of brilliant scientists - folk who went on to head UK and global R&D in top pharma companies; head the Covid vaccine taskforce; and start and head numerous small biotech companies - on site-specific drug delivery, aka targetted drug delivery, I can tell you that these British guys at Avacta have found the Holy Grail of drug discovery - targetted sustained delivery.

We didn't succeed with our projects at the time because we didn't have the tech tools, especially computational chemistry, or the detailed biological knowledge 30-35 years ago that is available now, but it was a very forward-thinking initiative to tackle such a complex problem, so well done to the Avacta guys who have succeeded nbow! I look forward to seeing the patent(s) when published.

How do they grab you as straplines? For me, it all reads like it was designed inhouse ...and they couldn't decide which one was best, so used both. And I think you all know who I mean by 'inhouse'.

@Sagetrade, Well, it's a fact that several eminent physicians DO think we have the holy grail here. And it's also a fact that pharmaceutical clinical developmeny takes a long time and there are several hoops to be jumped through until, for a startup business, BOOM, the long-sought deal comes through.

As to the management's competence, I'm not convinced they understand AIM or their investors.

The cash one was a few days early, the 18th. Considering the Easter weekend, I guess they needed today, when the workday processes started again, to get whatever they're going to do organised and signed off.

Context cj, context. The bashers would have you see the Avacta downtrend in isolation.

Look at the other companies on AIM. They've all been on the same downward trend since the heady days of COVID money. It's not just Avacta.
