There's a world of difference between identifying an Affimer that binds with a target and producing reliably accurate IVDs at economic cost, which require dedicated development, production and marketing staff, facilities and expertise.

That being so, I think a tie-up with Abingdon, be it a partnership or a takeover, might be a good move if Affimers can fit into Senzo's proprietary ALF technology (and that tech is as good as it is claimed to be) as Abingdon have the production and marketing capabilities.

MSCI index changes are due a week Thursday. Without good news in the next few days - will that be too soon for a C6 announcement? - I can't see the SP recovering enough for us to get the leg up of a return to the Smaller Companies index at the end of May, unfortunately.

Good point, as I think yourself or someone else has made previously. Maybe Avacta should be backending the payments on Affimers until such time as they are clinically proven to be superior to antibodies.

I would have thought it would be in Heights interest to hold off selling just now and let the SP rise until 11 May when the MSCI indexes are reset and then sell into the strength of trackers having to buy Avacta shares. But what do I know.

If I remember correctly what someone on here had said about last quarter's worked sale and consequent SP drop, big worked sales don't have to reported for up to 3 days (depending on size of worked sale).

Well Heights received 2,906,097 shares this week and no one thinks they'll be keeping them.

The 200,000 buy represents about 6.9% of that recent Heights allocation which together with the other buys this week and, as some say, forward selling by Heights leading up to this week, it'll just be a matter to waiting for this c.3m shares to be disposed of. In the meantime, the SP is not to be sniffed at.

11 May is when the changes to the MSCI indices are due to be announced. If the SP is up by then we may get back into the smaller companies index which would mean a hike in the SP for 1 June. If it isn't then that particular leg-up will have to wait for another time.
