Not just banks anyone who is regulated
I predict that one more contract win will come before year end, the others will follow fairly quickly in the new financial year as I believe firms budgets have run out this year so new software is probably not an option but will be put in their budgets for next year - Yes I'm hoping that's the case
Up 24% even with no mention of how much the contract is worth - lets hope the rest of the contracts that were mentioned in last weeks poor RNS as possibly not coming to fruition this financial year come in as well
for your comments Rich, always informative, just a matter of timing now, and perhaps waiting for good news on the US economy - good luck
Rich Rich - what do you make of the new broker news yesterday, and do you know anything about Goddard, I tried looking but found nothing - has it been announced officially that results will be announced within two weeks, or will the new man change all the dates and delay results as long as possible, guessing game I know but you do appear to be the expert here - Good luck - Bud
Sorry - I did not mean the state of Hardide in the US - I meant the state of the US economy, by the tone of your reply I can assume you think HDD is strong enough to wade through the mire - thanks for your reply, lets hope your right about the trials
I guess the SP has taken a fall due to the situation in the US at the moment, as the expert in the house do you see the SP dropping further, or is HDD strong enough to buck the trend
Hi Jack - good to hear from you - I must admit I am not on the boards as much as I would like as proper work is really busy a lot of my time is now spent working on the olympics, the Company I work for have got the contract to supply the village and venues with laundry really good news but my workload has gone haywire, anyway - ABH needs a kick up the backside, or perhaps I should have got out when it hit the fiftys, SAR will one day be at least 5p I am convinced of that - a few I am keeping my eye on are TRP which as an oily you are most likely aware of them, they are in Uganda and Namibia which is a very interesting area to be in now, another is WET, they are in South Africa, their not miners but they are there to make money cleaning up the mess the miners make, they have some high tech pumps that clear away the contaminated water, and VRP is a bio Company that have a compound to battle Asthma, I was waiting for it to hit around 6.50p but looks like a spike today has ruined that, I think they are still very cheap upto 10p it's knowing when to get in as news on a deal has been so long coming which is why the SP is still low, and of course I can't get the timing right with HDD, I was tracking it and saw it hit low 70's and thought I must get in here and forgot it till I saw your post on VIY, still I seem to remember you still think it's got more potential than the current SP, I do as well as long as sales in the US grow this year, keep in touch and hope to speak again soon - Good Luck Bud
Hi Jack - hope your well, and I really hope you see this before too long, as there is a share you should look at - WET - they are a water clean up Company dealing in South Africa - today the SA goverment realeased an article that siad all mines will have to take care of the contaminated water that they produce, basically WET are in line to clean up with miners - have a look and see what you think - good luck - Bud
We all have our quircks when it comes to investing, nothing to be ashamed about, it's your money and your decision, lets be honest most of the buys we all make are all about gut feeling, trusting the management, and so on - if you don't hear from management for a long time unceartianty starts to set in, I have two of these in my portfolio, SAR & VRP, we have been waiting for over a year for news of a deal with VRP's compound RPL554, same goes for SAR and their compound CHK1, I have tremedous faith in ABH, there has been a steady news flow, and another one is expected in Jan - only because they did so in Jan last year ---------- I read RR's post and it is extremely encouraging, I wonder how long it will be before they can start manufacturing again in the US with their moth-balled plant - that would be worth spending money on an RNS and hopefully I'll be in by then - GL
Read you post on VIY, glad to hear all is OK, this seems to be trading in the same area since the results, I guess news of contracts in the areospace industry will send it higher, I know your overbought at the moment but don't let that stop you looking at ABH - All the best - Bud
Hi Jack - just left you a message on VIY about ABH, basically you should have another look, just announced another contract worth £1.5m, and it appears the trials for the stroke patient are going really well, I believe they will announce a profit when next years results come out, not sure when that is, but the accounts last year were very good and we all know the Scottish like to save money and not spend it - any way its good to see HDD getting back to where it was in November, as I said before I think it will go higher as the tighter controls thay put in place kick in - I am definately keeping an eye on this one - Have a good Christmas and all the very best for 2011 - Cheers Bud
Hi Jack - yes they are much better, I'm guessing the SP had a lot of the good news built in when it soared late November, the fact the EBITDA loss was only £141k for the year is excellent, especially as the EBITDA was positive in the second half, this is what banks and lenders are interested in, most covenants are set around these figures so the future looks good, especially if their titanium coating works for the aerospace industry as I dont see anyone stopping sending rockets and sattelites into space anytime soon - GL Jack I hope this play works for you, I will take another look in the new year,
Please don't forget the RNS before the interims were announced stated that the accounting issues would affect FULL YEAR results (SP fell 44% on that news), the interims were good hence a rise in the SP back to 22p, now the shares are ex divi the SP has declined back to 19p, the market needs to see what affect the accounting issues will have before the confidence returns, I am sure this will happen as they have drafted in an expirienced FD and made drastic changes to the troubled division, IMO it is only a question of time before the SP goes back into the high twenties, the million dollar question is when?? if you get the timing right you should be able to make a few quid - GL
OK - To stop you talking to yourself, let me know what your contacts in Hong Kong said about this share that will make it a sure fire winner, look forward to reading your answer
You are a total pr..k, the point I was trying to make is how on earth would a "project manager" be privy to takeover bids - if you want to call me a c..t make yourself known, don't act like a silly little child
Dear Bertieboy if your "project manager" was in the loop on takeover talks he would be dimissed for disclosing information as I have no boudt he would have been made to sign a confidetiality agreement - shame on you for blatant ramping - good luck anyway hope it works for you
You will receive £146.53 in dividends, as the General says you will receive this just after the 8th October - for those who want to know the current live sell price is 20.70 - GL
Probably at around the same level as they closed, we may see a slow day tomorrow, having said that it's always good to see Directors investing in their business, it certainly gives confidence to me that they are prepared to invest their hard earned money, it also shows they have faith in what they are doing - and you never know it might push the price up a little further - lets hope so, GL
If this date is the ex-divi date then expect a flurry of activity this Friday, as buyers will be able to buy on T5 terms this Friday, which means they can sell the same day on T5 terms and collect the divivend as well as any profit they make - if any - not sure what to do now - sell tomorrow for small profit or wait till Friday - decisions, decisions - look like it ended up just short of my 21p prediction - wrong again
