Listen to our latest Investing Matters Podcast episode 'Uncovering opportunities with investment trusts' with The AIC's Richard Stone here.
It's about time all Western nations retaliated in kind with interest and severely disrupted Russian systems and infrastructure. It's the only language bullies understand. There has to be a heavy price for them to pay to encourage them to cease what are acts of war basically.
What do we do instead though? That's right! We further damage our corporations with fines for being victims when they should be supported.
@Reardon95, '....something brewing here....' ???
I think you meant to say:
Liquidating of non-core assets to strengthen the balance sheet.
CEO deferring his retirement to facilitate a smooth transition.
Potential small fine if found to be at fault.
The only thing brewing would appear to be disgruntled holders conspiracy theories. I reckon in due course you'll be glad to have remained a holder here.
The point is aimMaster2018, I repeat for you, is that the uncertainty has already been priced into the SP(Excessively so). Nobody claims it's in the past. The Upside potential in the SP exceeds any further significant decline. I have nothing more to say to you as I'm now fed up of banging my head against a brick wall.
Anyone thinking of selling/reducing now at this stage should think again including Schroders or Marathon Asset Management LLP. The Shares of Cpi plc are now massively oversold. There's no point closing the stable door once the horse has bolted!
Thanks also to you Trenners,
for sharing your e-mail communications with IR. I suspected that it is wrong for the media to assert that the CEO was shown the door. The fact is that he has willingly deferred his retirement in order to facilitate a smooth transition especially to address the unfortunate crime of the cyber hack.
As most people are aware, the media always like to sensationalise a situation regardless of how economical they are with the truth.
Once again I find the IR response very encouraging. Gla holders!
Hi NOFEAR,
Thanks for sharing your communications with Helen Parris with this board. Her response to you is very encouraging. I agree 100% with your sentiments regarding the futility of attempting to catch the bottom. Cpi is way oversold already due in part to panicking lemmings and thoughtless algorithms randomly triggering stop-losses. I shall happily remain on this bus despite encountering the odd pothole. This is to be expected with a RECOVERY SHARE.
Incidentally, I take note that today Stockopedia have moved their category for Cpi Plc from NEUTRAL to TURNAROUND (Which indicates BUY).
Only wish this bus would provide seat belts!
Thanks again!
