Think the only big problem with OPG is the tariff
As they are unable to raise it cos if you look at European plants their basically unregulated and can put prices at what ever they want
Opg can't do that which is annoying cos they could of made a lot more money in the last 6 months
Probably buoyed by coal sales
At worst it gives you a clear indication what coal price is too high to run the powerplant
The intrinsic value hasn't changed imo cos the price of coal has levelled out im gonna keep buying more
10% is probably unjust as revenues have increased and is very much still profitable
Imagine what opg can do if Plant load Factor was 90%+
A man can dream righhhht......
Solid Revenue growth and still profitable however coal and freight prices took its toll on operating income at one point they sold a shipment of coal for 4 million so that's pretty good
Net debt is nearly zero
Overall its not the worst especially with coal prices down 60% from market highs just need it to continue going down
Investor presentation coming up in a weeks time that will be good to watch
I have no clue how the market will react but its still super cheap to me especially with it still being profitable
No dividend or share buybacks yet which is unfortunate
I'm still so confident and using a dcf Its worth 30-40p easily to me
Happy investing
Ok I respect your knowledge but this company cash flows are so strong, its everything an acquiring company looks for
I don't understand why you label it a weak sell can you tell me your reasoning?
Microsoft are loving date centres its the future (well present)
They're already in the ballgame they may as well acquire smaller players in the market
IOMART are a great company even though the Market Cap doesn't reflect that
Could probably buy IOMART at a big discount also
Decent results strong cash generation and profit is still high
Looks like there relationship with Microsoft has tightened
Would like to see Microsoft acquire them if it continues (may aswell)
Their cost of debt is 16% that is pretty high
Not saying its going bankrupt but its a heavy level of debt
Could be a distressed asset play if they can survive
Could be worse you could of invested in Adm Energy at 7P
Ski slope just in time for winter
This looks like great value
Why does the market hate profitable fossil fuel companies?
Same as Wentworth Resources both look fat but the share price never moves towards what it really worth
The market absolutely hates it
Just gotta keep averaging down and sitting tight
If it wasn't affected in lockdown it won't be affected now
How on earth do you value diamond companies?
Looks very cheap
But how the can the value of the power plant be worth more than the company? When the Company owns the Power Plant
OPG Enterprise Value is £81,556,532.54
The Power Plant is worth £172,716,040 according to the March 2021 Balance sheet take away a couple million for land and Other stuff like vehicles
So
Enterprise value/ Property, plant and equipment = 0.47
Which gives the Coal power plant a fair value of 25p on its own
But somehow its trading at 11.75p
The valuation makes zero sense - A Share Buyback is needed right now cos the coal prices have tanked
I truly believe the company is worth £300 Million using Future cash flow just a shame they cant raise tariffs like the EU
Like how can it be trading below book value can anyone explain?
Makes zero sense

3 Big Takeaways -
1) Coal is higher accessible as they are located to the port and were never low on inventories they have been using Australian, Indonesian and have only recently bought Indian coal on the 'cheap' at Auction
2) Cant raise there tariffs as India is highly regulated
3) See Fair value at 40p per share and will look to buy back shares once the covid and high shipping/coal storm passes over
Its so cheap its actually crazy
Gonna buy more
Very surprised it hasn't been bought by another firm
Not sure mate been incredibly votile looking at the index
Wouldn't be surprised if they went local with coal india instead of getting it shipped
Just so annoying we shouldn't be back at 12p
Buybacks are perfect at this price people are dumping shares
I ain't gonna sell gonna see it out till as least the 2022 annual report
Isn't* nd I guess you ain't allowed to swear haha
It's like ******** has fallen out the market and there is any support
