Full funding to conclusion is not an obligatory requirement for regulatory approval of a clinical trial. While regulatory bodies do not require proof of full funding, they expect sponsors to demonstrate operational feasibility and adequate planning. This includes having sufficient initial funding and a clear plan to secure resources as needed. Financial instability could raise concerns about interruptions to the study, which might put participants at risk or compromise the validity of the study finding.

Chris70 makes some thoughtful points in favour of accepting the offer. In my case, which I believe is fairly universal irrespective of of one’s current holding and average price, acceptance of the offer will mitigate the dilution by 60% and reduce my average price by just under 60%. All for around 7% of my commitment to date. This set against the company’s projection of the probability of a successful P2 leads me to believe that this is a rational investment for me. Others will see it differently, I am sure.

It looks as if this is to be a bumper winter for respiratory viruses, with commensurate numbers of hospital admissions and ventilated patients for this cause. If SNG are able to capitalize on this it would give the planned study a flying start. We can but hope.

The longer the radio-silence from SNG persist, the more convinced I am that it is driven by external factors involving third parties and likely NDAs. That said, this particular piece of string is not of infinite length. The deadlines for the issuance of an annual report and calling of an AGM are now rapidly approaching. News very soon, methinks.

Synairgen have a track record of putting their poster presentations up on the company website-in the “investor” section. RNS or not. I would expect to see the poster lodged there relatively soon. My only proviso is that the lead agency in this case is not Synairgen themselves, but UKHSA. Whether that makes any difference, I couldn’t say although, imo, it shouldn’t.

Spacman, it’s a poster on a board in the exhibition hall or adjacent; not an oral presentation. So no open q&a but informal chat with delegates on a 1 to 1 basis at the board - assuming it is manned by one or more authors.

Johnnyboy33, I would expect that the company will share info regarding the poster presentation sometime after it “appears” at the conference tomorrow; maybe later this week? But with Synairgen’s approach to sharing …?

I agree hype is not the way to go. People who gambled on a “dead cert” with money they couldn’t afford to lose and then panicked and sold into eye watering losses deserve sympathy for their imprudence bordering on stupidity. But, for those who worked within their means and held their nerve when the world went sideways there is hope of a measure of recovery. And, for sure, there is going to be news soon, starting with something modest from Edinburgh on Tuesday. Not a case for another gold rush but progress nevertheless, imo.

I wonder what we might learn from the up-coming joint UKHSA/SNG poster presentation at the Microbiology. Society Annual Conference in Edinburgh on Tuesday. It covers work done at Porton Down with SNG001 tested in-vitro against a range of SARS-Cov19 variants. Replicating in-house sponsored testing in 2022, yes, but hopefully providing external validation of the “variant-agnostic” thesis. Hope this is in Philip Monk’s in-tray. Indeed how could he not have been privy to the findings long since, given the close links between SNG, UNIVERSAL and Professor Chalmers? One has to wonder to what extent these findings will play a part in the stratification plan for at least one of the up-coming P2 studies. Looking forward to news on these very soon now.
