It's bit soon to react so strongly, we don't really know enough about David Linsley's plans to write the the company off! I am still convinced they have ambitious plans and if they raise cash on the lines of a hedge fund as he suggested, we may do far better than suffering AIM style dilution. Yes, the 1.6p is disappointing but I intend waiting to see what comes next.
Joking aside, when this relists I am sure it will be a very different calibre of company. With our BoD, articles in the main stream press and they will probably use social media, should bring us to the attention of a much wider number of investors than appear on this BB now. I suspect we shall all look back and say, how lucky (or shrewd) were we to be involved at such an early stage? For one I can say I found my way here through luck, by originally following PJ from MTR.
I can't see why weak government or difficult Brexit negotiatons should impact PERE. Any thoughts?
MMs are hardly likely to be manipulating or even watching this share. 3 trades so far today is hardly making their fortune! Trading is controlled by algorithms. As to news the BB have a day job running the company. They give informative interviws and issue RNSs when there's significant news. They are keeping investors well informed. Companies the issue RNSs like confetti usually do it to disguise the fact they have no substance. What more do you expect?
You have gone to a great deal of trouble to help understand this company, which is different to the typical AIM company. Many thanks.
I think Lotto's £10m is a pure guess. we don't know how much cash they will raise but even then it will still be fairly meaningless until we see how they invest it. This is where PI investment is largely based on confidence in the BoD which to me looks very promising...
I am sure Screech is a genuine investor. She is in a number of shares so maybe saw what she considered a better or maybe quicker opportunity, we could be suspended for a while. But let's see if she responds.
Agree... lol. Sorry about typos, Apple iMac computers are brilliant but not the key board imo!
Undoubtedly quanitiative easing caused massive asset price inflation which is why the whole BTL market was so profitable. I have a colleague who built a portfolio but only ever invested one initial deposit, in the first property. If our timing in the commodity sector is right, or possibly certain parts of it, for example cobalt, similar growth is possible for PERE. Risk 1 is gettimga standard listing (or failing that a RTO but not preferred option). I don't see a huge risk, the new members of the BoD surely cannot be interested in running a small life style operation. Step 2 is choosing the right investments, that is where the real risk lies and our trust in the BoD and their business plan matters. Personally, I am really pleased to have stumbled on this company at such an ebryonic stage, (okenia like you, through PJ!).
meant to say which may be a generous % return on only 20% of the property value.
Okenia, Lotto. Thanks for the thoughts, very interesting. Property investment is a clever analogy, borrowing most of the capital is why buy to let has been so profitable, The benefit of financial leverage, typically 20% deposit and 80% mortgage, is not only is the surplus of income over outgoings a return on your own capital which may only be 20% of the property value. ALL the capital growth on 100% of the value accrues to the buyer who gets a huge return based on 20% of the capital invested. As the equity grows, further capital can be borrowed and serviced. The one proviso is that rent comes in reliably and property values contine to rise and don’t fall. Assuming you’re (okenia) is right about the PERE business model, the housing analogy does emphasise the massive potential, provided the BoD choose the right assets. That is where our confidence in their ability dictates if, and how much we invest.
Cash, the posts today startuing at 4.33 contain a wealth of well informed info. If you also listen to David Linsley's latest podcast you should have enough info to make an informed decision. Obvioulsy he cannot make any guarantee and must make provisos to cover him and the company's Directors but he gives a pretty good indication of their future plans.
Interesting you felt the same. I am assuming once funds are raised this won't be a £2m market Cap but I am also assuming the new BoD's ambitions go way beyond a £20m market cap. Unless something changes my mind, I intend to hold this long term. I have a feeling it will become a very large company.
okenia, many thanis for the calm and knowledgeable analysis. I did invest in PJ initially but after listening to David Linsley's various interviews ,increased my stake significantly. I found him compelling and believable so I am grateful to PJ fgor leading the way here.
Agreed, it emphasises their intentions and ambitious business plan.
Hi copshaw. My faith in Pembridge Resources PERE is based on 3 criteria, the sector, the business plan and confidemnce in the BoD to carry it out. My 9 x was S M L bought at 0.42 and peaked recently at 3.6. My reasons for investing were exactly as for PERE. I will be topping up with PERE. I listen to podcasts to form an opinion of the management. In both these companies, they inspire confidence. My reasons may not be for everyone so please DYOR
The quallity of the BoD makes it unlikely this company will go the way of so many small life style (for the Directors) AIM companies. My immediate reaction on reading the RNS was that this new confirms the BoD's significant ambitions for Pembridge. I am heavily invested and I am not selling. If another investment throw ups spare cash I will buy more. My other investment is also in the mining sector and since January has gone up 9X with probably more to come. But before that happened the predictors of gloom were all over it... Funnily enough they have gone now!!!
It's just ticked up 25% to 3p/3.25p
Briefly down 5%, available shares quickly bought, now up 5%. The price reacts quickly to very few transactions. Any positive announcement should impact the price significantly.
This is a positive statement of intent. The size and quality ot the BoD the significant projects under consideration, the quality of the presentation itself, all demonstrates the outlook is not that of a £2m Market Cap company. It is much more ambitious than usual for a company of this size.
