The latest Investing Matters Podcast episode featuring financial educator and author Jared Dillian has been released. Listen here.
I hope I am mistaken but I get the distinct impression that Looed has moved on from posting on this board. Please tell me I am wrong, Looed, as your work has been invaluable in keeping us informed.
I am slightly amused by the phrase “still here” used by some posters. Sadly, nobody appears to know what is where, who owns it, who is running it, what money it has and what activities, if any, it is carrying out. However, it is still here!
Is there any reason why, in the event of the GD losing the election, Zaza could not just return as CEO?
It was in response to brgmg’s comments about certain posters’ reluctance to answer questions.
IMHO no-one has the right to demand information from another poster. I would be very reluctant to disclose any personal information on an open forum. But each to his own.
From the minute a certain StarMan aligned himself with your plan you were doomed to be vilified in the same way as he is. The name-calling and accusations are so unnecessary when the overwhelming majority of posters on this board want the same outcome. FWIW, my view is that you should proceed as you wish - take on board any points you agree with and ignore the others. P.S. I am not normally around at this time of day - just spending a night at my local heart hospital having my AF dealt with. All the best.
Seems like the “spread” is false. Just did a dummy buy at 2.72 so anything around that value could well be a buy
Last of the big spenders!
That “sell” at 9:36 was my buy!
A couple of questions re the insurance policy covering FRC directors -
a) would it cover one FRC director suing FRC itself or another of its directors and
b) would it still continue to provide cover for Hope when he was no longer a director?
I know from experience that insurance policies are littered with eventualities that are excluded.
Just a thought. Could we not point a Georgian journalist towards the published Arbitration report (whether genuine, unadulterated or not) to get it into the Georgian media and, maybe, to Zaza for his reaction?
Certainly think we have seen very few facts here - from both sides. Of 152 pages of the Arbitration document we have seen about 1 page worth of ‘facts’ from each side. Suspect they are both telling ‘the truth’ but it’s what they are not saying that is key to how things will progress. All in my humble opinion.
Just wondering which search engines the detectives are using. I generally use Bing as I have a built-in dislike for anything Google but, I have to admit, occasionally Google finds something that Bing has missed. I tried DuckDuckGo but found it very USA-centric. Just wondered if the sleuths have tried different engines in order to find stuff. I do look occasionally when my schedule allows but have never found anything that hasn’t been posted before.

I blocked PJOHN many moons ago so I don’t get to see his inane comments. Sad to say that too many contributors are keen to personalise the discussions. Keep up the good work and just ignore the negative stuff.
When I want the facts, these are the contributors whose posts I read. Keep up the good work! All in my very humble opinion, of course.
I agree with ODR in as much as I suspect that the Georgian government asked if FRR had committed a ‘material breach’ of the contract and the Arbitration said that they had. Having got that decision, the Georgian government concluded that they were within their rights to terminate the contract. What I can’t quite get my head around is why the Arbitration report is 150+ pages long. How many words does it take to say ‘ yes, they did’?
As I understand the Arbitration process, the two parties select a judge but that judge does not represent that party. Having been selected they act independently to arrive at a conclusion. Just my understanding. Fingers beginning to go blue from being permanently crossed!
Just to say that I look forward to reading your well-researched and informative posts every morning. Please keep it up. Wine time!
There certainly seems to be a game plan being played out in the background. Maybe Zaza is relaxed about things as he has a (hidden) agenda that he doesn’t want to share with us. Just a thought.
Given that the Arbitration Panel was unanimous in its decision we have to hope that our BOD knew that FRR was going to lose and that they have gone through the process in order to achieve their game plan. Bit like sacrificing your Queen in order to get Checkmate! But, like everyone else, I’m just guessing with a massive dose of optimism.
