Not nearly as simple as you say. Look at the way imports are treated differentley between EU states. If salmon is sent to one place it is treated quite differently to another can be 10 per cent difference. It is nowhere near a free trade group a pity as free trade is the answer to so much but so very rare these days. And look at how upset the EU is at Irelands corporation tax rate. They want all rates standardised a good reason to leave on its own

Is soshalism something after too many Jamesons at lunch. Just look at rt, British Leyland etc nationalised industries which were an absolute shambles.

Surely the tarriffs within the EU are not free trade as such_
