I believe there may be other suitors. At any event the bid is not high enough and the stock is ripe for arbiytage! I still like my GVC better and 888 looks interesting.

as i say to all tyros if you know little buy a good book about the stock market and its vagaries. often prices appear to have little logic. if you invest find companies which are easy to understand, little borrowing, plenty of cash and generating cash. for instance Boohoo has cash for most transactions. if a compamy is good value for money all will come right in the end. this is known as value investing. it is always a winner in the long run

The snag with your approach is the chance of missing the really big rises which only happen occasionally. The Warren Buffett method buy and hold companies which are easy to understand, generating cash, low borrowings all of those thinfs Boohoo have in spades. You miss such a lot by trading.

Its a bit rich. Caesar don't even want much of the UK bits. Not much said about Fred Done. Will it be a Done deal / hope so.

Not quite true that for every buyer there is a seller. Jobbers may take a short or long position. Remember they are principals. Then there are shorts such as borrowing or lending stock and various other trades such as options and cod so the picture can be muddied.

totally agree. Look at p\e ratios of this and Astra Zeneca. This one is massively over sold and Astra over bought.
