No news: sliding sp yet again! so frustrating - like a few PI's on here I have bought and sold between £5 and £11+ However I haven't been involved with such a volatile share before and I've ended up burnt. I am still on a 4 figure loss, but hoping for those brighter skies and less of these cold and dull days! Having watched this share you can almost forecast what it's going to do the next day: 5 days red and 2 blue!
So Good to have you back Shaun. I don't post often as you can see - I blame only myself for currently been under water. If I had bought all the shares I purchased back in September I would be very happy man. Unfortunately panic has got the better of me. But you gave good points of wisdom with all your P words. I know I should take a leaf out of your book!
I have been working on a spreadsheet to show exact gains and losses of any particular share wrt your own circumstances i.e buys and sells of that particular share and associated trading costs. I did this because I've traded too many times in this share and lost money as a result. All I do now is enter the price and it works out what share price I need to break even. Turns out that Nova needs to climb to £11.21 /share before I am even again. A surprise, but hopefully doable! Anything over this I am in profit! I've also worked out that the share price needs to rise to £20 before I can make the same substantial profit I had on the 25th October. Is it worth holding ?
2 RNS's yesterday but still £5k down. I see there are one or tow posts showing greater losses. There will be a few people on gains, but I entered on the rise last September and bought high. You don't think it's a high of course when there was all the euphoria of the SP hitting £15-£20. Can't say I'm a happy bunny , but I will hold until better times! As for the communication from our great leader and the market reactions- I am just stunned! But like a few folks on here I m waiting for the day that the market comes to it's senses!
As I have mentioned before I have been with Novacyt since last September and seen the highs and lows. I've bought and sold along the way and at one point I was showing a significant 5 figure profit. Today I am sitting on a big a loss. I would not be here if it wasn't for this board singing all it's praises. I do ask myself Why go through all this? AM I chasing the wind?
Losing faith rapidly. I've hung on for better days, but this is another bashing on the back of News from our leader. He's not inspiring the markets at all! Like most on here I am not inspired anymore. It's all looking very disappointing. I can see that all the fundamentals are good, but there is one piece of the jigsaw that is not hitting home and that's Nova's lack of inspiring comments to the market about the future!
Absolute travesty. I've relied on Shaun to give a balanced view point. I'm a big believer in moving on and trying to forget disagreements - life is too shorth to argue! But I know it's not always possible to do this! I must have sensed something wasn't right yesterday as I put a stop loss in place and I've sold a big chunk. Obviously kicking myself now, but eh ho, I think to myself I didn't sell all. All the best Shaun- you will be missed!
Today my confidence in this share has taken a big hit. I keep reading all the posts on here and I've suffered losses like everyone else on here. Up to now I've been OK with the daily losses, but it's now reached a psychological low for me. I won't be selling out completely , but I've stopped topping up
Labour is challenging the UK government to "clean up" how it awards contracts for Covid work - saying it has been "rife with conflicts of interest"
A look at GAW this morning and similar tricks are taking place with this share. Outstanding performance by this British Company in Nottingham has seen its share price drop on the back of good news, albeit it's the other side of the spectrum to Nova, but still shows how SP's fluctuate with no news. It's up £5.08 today after a rebound!
This is solid proof that a Positive RNS helps the share price. After communication with our Graham, you would think that he would swallow the bait and release just a drip of good NEWS TO HELP THIS SHARE! it's beyond a joke how this share is performing after the 29th January update. I'm becoming increasingly annoyed having watched the share collapse after magnificent news!
Some large sells this morning , but also some large buys too. This is a playground for the day traders! How can this be stopped?
Some of you say you are getting nervous! So I am I. Been here since September, but I'm sitting on increasing losses as I bailed out on the first dip and re-purchased. My Average price is around £8.60. It's OK for you if you entered before September. Come on - we need the positive news- What about the SP Angel price of £14.33- does this just go into a BLACK HOLE - never to be seen by anyone? Like a few have said I though the News on AZ vaccine being ineffective against the South African variant would have helped. This is like a double whammy , since I had my AZ jab on Saturday. Where's the good news?
Morning fellow Novayct's: 24 hours on and the share price is still bumbling along at 24% below the peak of last week. I'm not very good at buying and selling and came in last September at a lower price than today, but not substantially. It went all the way up to £12 + and I bought more. The first tree shake came and I panicked and sold 50% of my shares. I know we are told repeatedly to buy in the dips, but it goes against my nature - I feel more upbeat if its going up and buy more. We've had further rise to nearly £12 and I followed the same behaviour and bought more, so I am now sitting on slightly less shares than I had to begin with and I'm in the red, but not monumental losses. I'm trying very hard not to hit the button given all the positives, but I can't help feeling that all the hype around the vaccine roll out is not helping the share. We need some good news to bolster this share! On the vaccine note - I go for mine tomorrow!
Having read just two directly opposing posts - I thought it worth repeating the positive one and ignoring the negative obvious de-ramper. Positive: I have never seen an aim share with such strong fundamentals and I doubt I will ever see another in my lifetime!
IT'S LIKE THE SAMIRITANS! You have blown my expectations and saved another from jumping , especially Brent1. I am a fairly young pensioner and haven't got all my eggs in one basket. I'm not sitting on any profit now with Novacyt, but what's so disappointing I have been £7-10k up and like a lot of you here, greed got the better of me. Best of luck to everyone I'm holding. I'm proud to be a Novacyt! I feel I've been through so much, but I will have to think I am on that mountain walk with the pinnacle within sight!
Been here since last September and it's really hard today not to hit the button and give in! I've been through all the ups and downs, but with all the positive News about the vaccine and the bashing we have suffered since the RNS last Friday I'm almost at my wits end! Anything you lot can say to try and stop me will of course help - I've listened and seen all your posts!
I've been here since September and yesterday was a day I was looking forward to. I'm disappointed in how we could end up with a 17% drop in the SP given the numbers. and forecasts from SP Angel and NUmis. Just to reiterate and compare the figures we should be on at least £14.65: We achieved a profit of £221.6M, against a forecast by SP angel of 206.9M. A clear £14.7M up: Numis figures are very similar, but what both brokers required was a forward revenue of 2021 of £290M and 380M respectively. Judging by the projected figures that I've seen we are already on the road to achieving these too! So why the drop?
I have a question about stocks and shares ISA wrapper. Most of my investments are with HL under stocks and shares ISA who always warn you when you ask to withdraw any funds from your ISA. Novacyt is invested under my ISA wrapper- but what happens if I withdraw any profit into my current A/c and spend this. Does this become taxable?
